I am having issues coping with my workload. I am getting angry very quickly as I am sick of having to revisit issues at work due to internal issues. I have stopped listening to music in the car and I dislike music playing in places like McDonalds that did not use to frustrate me.
I’m loosing interest in my work. I have a good relationship with my wife and family. I think I may just need a break away from work or do these signs mean something more?

Dear Mjs123~
Welcome here to the Support Forum. A good move to come here as you can look around and find similar experiences and how other people coped.
Being in a workplace where you have to keep on repeating what you have already done because others make it necessary is a very frustrating thing. It can easily make a person want to give work a miss. If that was all there was to it I'd think if I was in your place I'd think it was a normal reaction.
However I find the fact music is no longer part of your life a worry, as it is similar to an effect I had (I've depression and anxiety). As matters got worse I found my mind was filling up with unhappy and anxious thoughts and there was no capacity left for me to deal with other things - with music being one of them. In fact music became an annoyance. Maybe you are starting to find other things are starting to frustrate you now as well.
As time went on I found I'd no capacity to deal with other people either, and just wanted to be alone.
I could not get better on my own, despite a very supportive partner, and went to get medical help. This made all the difference and over time my ability to cope with life's ups and downs got a lot better - and I was happier too.
So may I suggest you try the same thing, visit your doctor in an extended consultation and explain what is is happening - and ask ot be tested. See how you go.
I hope to hear form you again
Croix

Sounds like burnout. If things you once enjoyed are bo longer enjoyable it sounds like something subconscious is bothering you. Unsatisfied at work, unappreciated, etc.

Hi - thanks for your reply- I did respond a few days back but got a blocked message. Yes- will see a Dr - what you say resonates with me and I have a similar issues back in 2018 Saw GP and Psych- have been good- but work related stress has tipped me over the edge again. I will go see GP and tell him how I feel. Thanks for responding and reminding me to get some help.

I agree - definitely burnt out. Will see GP and let him know what’s going on. I’m heading 59 and maybe need to find a much less stressful job.
