Hi MissMc,
Thank you for your post 🙂 wow sounds like you do have some really positive things in your life and lots of discipline, i admire that. You did PB and training and prepped meals, they are all really good and motivating things to do. I understand how you feel, I have similar thoughts and feelings and I am quite alone physically and emotionally. I try to keep some sort of routine which is proving not that successful. So I have set myself a goal to walk in the morning and then yoga then study. This way I know what to expect of myself. I also try to accept things as they are right now which also is not that easy but if I have my daily plan then I figure that is all I have to do and changing my life can be built into it on a daily level. Maybe write down some of your goals / short term and long term and how you could achieve them even if they are small things. You can always call us on 1300 22 4636 or chat online, you could get a referral from your GP to see a professional, this can be helpful with strategies and I love nanna naps as well and netflix sadly lol. A little bit of distraction goes along way. Keep in touch if that feels right and know that you are not alone 🙂 Best Wishes Nikkir x

I wonder whether you achieved PB's because you were trying to punish yourself for how you are feeling, sometimes this may help, while other times it only causes more pain, but you can never blame yourself for feeling this way, it's way beyond your control, depression will create so many problems to each and every person suffering from it, so you feel so limited and all you want to do is sleep, the best time of our day when we hope our mind will also go to sleep, unfortunately this doesn't really happen, because we may have nightmares and when we awake we are back to how we originally felt into the depression as before.
You can not tackle depression by yourself, it's virtually impossible, you need help, someone or someone who has the experience in being able to understand what you are going through, a person/s who will listen to you and then support you through this battle, someone who can relieve your struggle and the best way is to contact your doctor, if you don't want to, then this exhausting illness will still control you.
If I hadn't done this after being in denial for such a long time I would be no better off, thankfully now I have overcome my depression. Geoff. x
