Hi Soul,
Nice to see you on the forums. I'm just starting my "journey of discovery" with my depression, but I can tell you talking to my GP was the best thing ever - then second was starting my medication. I've never felt so calm and unfazed by little things that used to annoy me instantly as I do now. Today's not such a good day, but I know I will have bad days and I don't fight that. I accept it and hope that tomorrow is better.
Good Luck with your condition and read as much as you can to learn - these forums are fantastic for we sufferers.

Hi Soul,
I'm guessing that you have lost someone close to you?
Are you seeing a Dr or therapist at the moment?
Are you specifically looking for coping strategies? I'm happy to suggest some, but it would be good to know where you're at? What you are doing currently? What you've tried in the past?
