Crying all the time is driving me nuts!!

Hi all, I hope someone has an answer. I cry all the time and it is ruining everything for me. When ever i watch, hear or experience anything emotional, i start crying. I am a middle aged man and this is driving me nuts. I can't watch anything sad or happy on TV without starting to cry. It starts welling up and I try so hard to not cry. I make noises which scares me dog and when I am around my kids and grand kids, I make a lload sort of hissing sound when ever i get the crying urge. The kids know exactly whats going and and now ignore me.

Has anyone else experienced this?

 Steve

Hello Steve, how long has this been going on for? Crying at the drop of a hat can be a sign of depression. What else is going on in your life at the moment?

Hi WPClinic, welcome

I posted an answer to a similar thread called  "cant stop crying" in young people section. It has other answers also that might help you including my battle with this and my diagnosis.

Hi, I've experienced this off and on for years. If you haven't sought professional help you might consider doing so. It helped me, although l still can't bear to look at home videos and photos of my now adult sons from when they were small without being overwhelm with a sense of loss and almost unbearble sorrow.
