Winning the lottery An imaginative break from this current crisis

On the radio the other day they had a break from all the doom & gloom & asked what people would do if they won the special lottery!!! I thought it could be fun to get us using our imaginations.

The prize for this lottery is the chance to go out on your own and do what you like while everyone else is in lockdown. Be as imaginitive as you like.

Ideas could be buying up garden centres & planting things on all our nature strips to brighten up the place.

Other people wanted to skateboard down the empty freeway into the city.

What I'm going to do is get all the equipment I need & then drive to each of my children's houses so I can set up a camera & screen in their front yards as well as my own & then all my grandkids can come out and play with each other via the special cameras & screens while each of us adults can watch them having fun Of course the cameras & screens are very high tech so noone misses any of the action like you do on normal technology

I look forward to anyone else wanting to share crazy ideas

What an awesome idea! Thanks for sharing this!

I would love to go out in the city and photograph the desolate and quiet streets. Usually they are bustling with people, I would love to capture this new eeriness of some of my favourite places.

It would also be fun to drive on a highway fast, just to see what my car can do, oh and also a sports car would be fun too.

Dear Elizabeth~

Of course what I would most like to do is not realty that practical with all in lock-down, maybe when things are a little easier, nevertheless it is a wonderful thought.

A flight first class in an airplane with tons of extra room and just my partner (plus crew) .

A train from London to the tip of North Wales. Walk around for miles showing my wife all the places I haunted as a lad, the 2 mile breakwater, the mountain with its stone circles, the little jetty where I caught crabs.

Listening to a storm snug in front of a coal fire in a parlor, and most improbable of all, finding one or more relatives still around.

"Such are dreams made of" (Sorry for the misquote Bill)

This thread is not about being practical or sensible Croix. Using your imagination to get a break from reality is the sole aim. First class flight to the UK sounds very nice with the pandemic miraculously lifted as you arrive in Heathrow. I have relatives living in Snowdonia. North Wales is a beautiful place from the mountains to the beautiful coastline and gorgeous villages. Sorry Croix if it is good enough for you I'm joining you in my separate plane. Fortunately I do have relatives. Maybe my daughter & son & his family can join me in Wales.

Take my daughter to a movie marathon in Gold Class (never been as i cant afford it), where we pick the movies in the cinema and we are the only patrons in the cinema. It would give her a break from her University studies. What a blast.
