What small thing brought you a little joy this week?

Hi everyone,

Life can be hard sometimes, so I thought I might try something different here.

And I figured it might be nice to share a little light. Has something (big or small, it does not matter!) that brought you a moment of joy this week?

It could be as simple as a smile from a stranger? Good cup of coffee? a walk? Or something funny your pet did.

I’ll start: After a day when I thought I did not accomplish much, my higher up sent me a text message in the evening, thanking for the help I had given during the day. And this put a smile on my face.

Looking forward to hearing the little things that made your day a bit brighter

I know you can relate Smallwolf. And it didn't matter that it disappeared so quickly I didn't know what bird it was, just the flapping of its wings told me it was a small bird.

It's wonderful being touched by nature. To value those simple events that are free of cost.

There is a bird that comes onto our back deck for a small feed in the morning. What makes this nice is that "it" (I have no idea if he or she) is so gentle that it does not bite/peck at my fingers and just goes for the food between my fingers.

wow, to value that sort of event is to appreciate. Perhaps those with mental health struggles need that connection with nature.

I for one find it very helpful... we had water dragons that would come to the front deck and they were not fussy eaters! Putting something out for them and then just watching them was magical. They were VERY nervous though. And I would not try to feed by hand. And there is a connection of sorts... at least where you are not thinking about what you "should" otherwise be doing.

hi moody-_ahhhhh..... welcome.

I can agree with with what you said. We (anybody) can take this for granted. But they can also be moments that you can look back on with joy. Hope you might be able to hang around and share some more 🙂

I have two small things that brought me joy yesterday.

The first was seeing a grandma and grandchild while I was out on a walk. I'm guessing that was their relationship anyway. She was about 75 I think and he was about 3. He was such cute little boy and he wanted to run along, so grandma did her best to hold his hand and keep up with him. She was so lovely with him. He is certainly making sure his nanna gets a work out 😂

The other thing that brought me joy yesterday is that I saw some ravioli at the local butcher shop and decided to try it. It was chicken and porcini ravioli. They also had various sauces you could buy to go with it so I got the mushroom and bacon one. It made it an easy dinner, but it was also the most yummy ravioli I have ever tasted! It's made by a local company based in a nearby town. So I've discovered a new option for an easy dinner. It lasted for two meals too as I had the rest for lunch today 😋

I Went for a walk along the beach esplanade. It was a really nice sunny day. And I got the courage up to ring my oldest sister whom we havnt spoken to one another for 8 Months. Even though I’ve had a Toxic un-supportive approach from all family members I thought I’d get up the courage. Plus I got some vitamin D. 🌻
