- I have a few days to catch up on but as I've written in an above post...I only write when it feels right to write!.

---Drunk On You.

What is it about you that makes me wanna make love to you

now and forever more

close the door

let's get busy

listening to some

Thin Lizzy

Whiskey in the jar

Met you at a bar

none surpass you

none will ever compare

let's make love

on the sofa

over there

then on the roof

under the moon

then

in a hot air balloon

You got me

all obsessed with you

and so it is.

I'm just making this poem up

right here on the spot

'cause you're hot.

Dancing in the dark with you

holding you close

your scent

your lips on mine

like red, red wine.

I'm drunk on you.

Like Amy

I'll need rehab

if you ever leave me.

I'll be in the wine house with the other

lonely losers.

Back in black.

I'm drunk.

Drunk on you.

Tequila sunrise

with you in bed

with me

by my side

Ice crushed

this love is a rush

high

like Marley

Could you be loved?

I'm drunk.

Drunk on you.

LEGS OF SPOKE

How can I let them know?

When the dark exceeds the glow

When the sun hides behind the clouds

Silence they hear...but I scream so loud.

Some stand beside a 6 foot hole

Shake their heads and see its toll

They ask how he could have dropped

Out of the circle -a forget me knot

Yet they seem to see clear and there is hope

When they sight a person with legs of spoke

A crippled girl pushing her chair

A man be manic- there's no one there.

"Storm in a tea cup" hurts so bad

Like the cyber crow who remains so glad

Keeps flying and in full flight

Achieves his art...in the middle of the night

For some in power see it their way

Even at the side of a 6 foot grave

Shake their head and call out "why"

"Why on earth- he didnt have to die".

So kind some be they reach out so true

Smile away "we want to meet you"

Bring along your vintage car and your smile"

But leave - what's behind your dial.

So we laugh and dine and all's ok

Leave at home come what may

If I be saddled with legs of spoke

They'd lift me around- bloody good bloke.

But as my mind hurts so bad

Cannot hide my feelings- mad?

Can no longer be bloody good bloke

Sometimes I wish.....

I had legs of spoke......

--Nan

My Nan made potato salad

It's the best I've ever eaten.

Potatoes - of course!

Mayonnaise.

Celery.

Boiled eggs.

Onion.

Tender

Loving

Care.

Thats how Nan does stuff.

Nan only knows how to give love.

My Nan is the best Nan ever.

You should see Nan smile.

Bright.

Brilliant.

Bold.

That's my Nan.

I live my life in honour of my Nan.

I live to be the man, that Nan'd want me to be.

Might as well,

life is for the living.

I live because Nan breathed unconditional love into me.

Sounds over the top,

I know.

But.

Its.

True.

Nan was living love without conditions for me.

Except that,

Nan had no love for herself.

Passed away at 54 years of age.

If my Nan could only see me now,

I know what Nan would say.

I love you...of course.

I remember Nan owned a golden Valiant.

I sat in the golden Valiant with great pride.

I remember seeing Nan as she drove that golden Valiant.

Flash.

I felt good.

I will remember that memory more often.

It's worth it.

Fill in the spaces and gaps in your life with more joy.

ease into the moment

ease

ease

easily done.

In the words of the broken hearted

its

just

emotions

We drove to the beach.

walked in the sand

hand in hand

with my Nan.

At the beach

seagulls

squawking

People talking.

Nan by my side

Nan was beautiful

Nan was kind

Nan had diabetes

Nan went blind.

Nan had bad asthma, always on the nebulizer.

Inhaler.

Exhaler.

Nan could no longer be at the beach with me

Nan was always in bed

In her sleep Nan went

The best way to go

apparently.

I hear Mum scream.

I hear ambulance sirens.

Nan's no longer there beside me.

Nan lives inside me.

In memories, you see.

I love my Nan, so much, always will.

I am grateful for her love,

that Nan gave to me.

I am grateful for her kindness,

that still warms my soul to this day.

I am grateful for her sense of humour,

my guide back to joy this very day.

I am grateful, so very grateful.

How could I not be?

I know that unconditional love is real!

My Nan had that for me, but Nan didnt have enough for herself.

Thats the lesson here

one must

have

love

for

oneself

and then

then

then

as you turn the page

as you are blessed to grow into every new age of your life,

then

then

you are

enlightened

awakened

empowered

enlivened

My Nan was the best.

Blessed I be.

Turned the page

I know you,re in here. I can feel you. The heat of your breath behind me. Red eyes of fire. I know your foul scent. I know your untamed power.

Trapped in the darkness and alone. The rattling of chain . Ever so close, I know you are near. I am the hunted.

I cannot defeat you. I am paralysed but you wont get me. Not this time not next time.

I know you feel me too. You feed on my confusion. Can't breathe, cant think. I make you strong .

But when the light comes you cannot harm me. I just need to stay away from the dark . How did I get here?

I am not in the clear. I am broken. I am wounded, tortured and torn. I wear your unhealed scars.

You are the beast within. My personal dark passenger but it is you who are trapped within me. I am your master.

A new day dawns.

I'm still here.

Hi.heres one of mine....."we were young" ..... When we were young.we were tall inside.you were the older one.you were a rising tide..then the world grew old.and no one seemed to be there when you needed.and the world old.and the answer to your call was on machine...and is it any wonder.that time is out of time.when i hear the distant thunder.i hear the phone bell chime...then the world grew cold .no one seemed to be there when you needed.then the world grew old....and the answer to your voice was on machine.....bye.bye bye.lonely seagul float on by. I Saw the ocean carry you away.to a place we all must go some day......we were young.....we were yooung...when we were young.....(wmr)

Now in his pyjamas

Big brother watching

all along

Once when twins did fall

Plane flew

into The Big Apple

just missed the chapel

People down

such a pity

onto the floor

of that great city

They got us right where they wan' us now.

Brown cow

Drones

droning on

black

It don't matter

They all will shatter

Stripes gone crazy

Eating donuts all day

Got them getting lazy

Animal farm

Warfare

You've been living in fear for far too long

Be the change

said Ghandi

Power up

Fill your cup

take a sip

pass it 'round

when one falls to the ground

lift him up

Take good care of him

War

War

War

What is it good for?

Mongers

Mongers

Mongers

Mongering

Reaping

Stealing

Looting

War Mongers take major bonus cheques

when flying

over

Baghdad

Turkey go cluck cluck

gobble

gobble

now we all in trouble

Blow a big bubble

hubba bubba

hubba hubba

When one falls pick him up

You are no more than I

and

no less

Would you pick me up if I were to fall?

Would you offer your cup?

Would you take my hand if you were on the fall needing to get up?

Terror

Can you dig deep?

The price aint cheap.

Courage

some struggle with it

just go out and get yours

The weak of mind wont get these words.

They'll just judge others.
