Hi heres an old poem of mine. "Try not to feel to blue" well freedom is such a calamity.and love is now seldom seen.but i know youll always care for me.and my shoulder is yours for to lean.but I'll always be willing to share with you.all my hearts dreams.and even if those dreams dont come true.i will try not to feel to blue...And even though we both sometimes feel.like pushing each other apart.the love that i have just for you.will never leave my heart.and I'll always be willing to share with you.all my hearts dreams.and if those dreams dont come true.i will try.....not to feel...to. blue. How to live feeling the pain, from someone else's loss? A mother.

After the falling of your daughter, knowing her eyes flickered as she lay on the tiles. Mum couldn't save her by then.

Now idle hands

Losing your flesh and blood to a negligent father. Too depressed to know his obligation.

And now father's mother has lost her son to prison. But only til 2020. The cycle of loss and suffering continues.

Beyond the blue and into the blackness. You are safe now little lady

Blessings and love to your family. From afar

Where do you go to get away from yourself

Darkness grabs me by throat

Its not visible to my eye

Why?

I cannot tell it where to go

It doesn't have ears

Why?

I tells me I'm not worthy

I can't reply, i have no voice

Why?

The chemical weapon in my brain

Wants to go off, the terrorist is me

Why?

Where do I go to get rid of me

I can't

Why?

When I fall, who do I call

Who can here me, I have no voice

Why?

The evil in my head is me

Or am I an Angel, do I call for them

Yes

Where do you go

To get away from

Yourself....................what, when, where and why?

As a child I used to think I was adopted
I didn’t look like my brother
I didn’t look like my sister
My brother looked like my mother
My sister looked like my father
I looked like nobody
I looked like nobodies child

My brother was hugged more than I was
My sister was held more than I was
My brother was cared for more than I was
My sister was loved more than I was
I was forsaken like nobodies child
I was loveless like nobodies child

I was shouted at more than my sister
I got yelled at more than my brother
I got put down more than my sister
I got insulted more than my brother
I was made to feel like nobodies child
I actually felt like nobodies child

I got punched more than my sister
I got kicked more than my brother
I got slapped more than my sister
I got punched more than my brother
I got hurt like nobodies child
I cried in pain like nobodies child

...

To this day I feel like a nobody
I fell like nobodies child
The opposite of Oliver Twist
I was the child
Who didn’t ask for more
But got it anyway

Hi be1012. You are definitely not alone here. We all go through it and understand what it feels like. Thanks for sharing with us.

Freedom

I long to be so very free

My Father, why does it feel like you have forsaken me.

You say it's me that has gone away,

yet I hunger to be in your arms and stay.

Because I have known that place is a shelter that is safe,

Safe and protected from the arrows that fly,

right into my heart, making me cry.

I cried out to you, saying it hurts,

then I felt your hand gently caress my face.

Your words of "Let not your heart be troubled" found a place.

So I held onto that, and got of the bed.

Repeating the words over, You quietly said.

I want to awaken tomorrow with an untroubled heart,

and yes there is another part.

As there is more to this lesson, I want you to know

And by believing it, it will help you to grow.

Now the next few words in this lesson, are "trust Me" you see,

And then you will know what it is to be free......

Romance

When I was but thirteen or so

I went into a golden land

Chimborazo, Cotopaxi

Took me by the hand.

My father died, my brother too

They passed like fleeting dreams

I stood where Popocatapetl

In the sunlight gleams.

I dimly heard the master's voice

And boys far-off at play, -

Chimborazo, Cotopaxi

Had stolen me away.

I walked in a great golden dream

To and fro from school -

Shining Popocatapetl

The dusty streets did rule.

I walked home with a gold dark boy

And never a word I'd say,

Chimborazo, Cotopaxi

Had taken my speech away.

I gazed entranced upon his face

Fairer than any flower -

O shining Popocatapetl

It was thy magic hour:

The houses, people, traffic seemed

Thin fading dreams by day;

Chimborazo, Cotopaxi

They had stolen my soul away!

I love poetry and a lot of yours have inspired to keep writing so thankyou all. I'm going to post a few of mine too

XXIV/VII

Time after time,
my sagacious words fell short
of your inconsiderate ears.
No effort nor thought
went into the relationship that arose the year before.
Your rotten words poisoned my thought patterns,
all emotional regulation became shattered
Or rather it was your lack of speech,
ill-comfort provided,
sanguinary results transcending.

Time after time,
your theatrical drama and entertainment
was more widely accepted and
consequential.
Your inconsideration and pure
thoughtlessness
as a friend,
was okay,
because, hey,
it’s just me yeah.

Time after time,
I was made aware
of your impulses by others
yet you managed to seize
every secret I held.
And I held this knowledge
firmly and trepidatiously,
yet you used my covert
performance
to shine the light on yourself.

Time after time,
my breathing was a
cataract
with the precipitousness of your recitals
submerging my thoughts,
I could no longer hear.
I was drowning
once and for all
and it was your immoral, conceited self
that committed the irreversible act.

And so I hold this with utmost certainty.
My lasting promise is one of certitude
and I promise above all else,
that not one more time
am I to be
used,
excluded
or lied too,
and this my friend
is only to benefit myself.

Prudence Withdrawals

The more subtle side of the twirling hazard had hit
It were inevitable, almost deserved.
Those who frequented the storms enjoyed it.

Throwing your body in, getting bashed along the way.

I were hit, my heart punctured,
for the storm had severely cut my body.
Inconsiderate justifications it gave.

Except I don’t have constant storms, only you.

And that’s why my dear friend,
i’ve decided to withdraw from all.
Arguments are inevitable.

But hun, not when you don’t have anyone to argue with.

-------

Instinctual

With my neck craned
my head is forced low,
My finger finds itself tracing the
imperfections of my body.
They were alive,
constantly growing,
rising to corners of my body
I never knew existed.

I wish I could withstand derogatory.

But, you will observe the forever stained
marks and scars that have sunken in.
The expression of words on your behalf,
Will be limited,
for knowing what to say is impossible.
But don’t worry,
for I don’t know either.

No one smiles to each other anymore.

Lately, I’ve noticed as you waltz the eery
street your eyes will meet another
in which they will divert suddenly
to the glaucous undergrowth beside you,
that no one would have bothered to look at
Beforehand.

It’s like that now.

And so with my head forced low
I continue to drown my body in harshful tints.
And so the next time
when your eyes automatically divert,
Force your head high,

and witness the miracle expansion of one’s lips.
