The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open

At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

Hi mmMekitty, Grandy and everyone else,

My usual options for self care are not very limited currently and maybe for some time in the future.  I’ve got to be careful what I do as I’ve got a small tear in a shoulder tendon and don’t want to make it worse.  Makes the days very long when can’t do craft, play croquet or billiards.

Music …. always a great idea.  Bands and singers from the 50’s and 60’s are best ever.  Throw in some country and western plus some Human Nature and I’m in.  Jimmy Little, Jim Reeves, Deltones, Everly Brothers, Beach Boys.

Hello Patches & everyone,

I had some John Williamson over the weekend, including a couple uploaded DVD on Youtube. I thought it was lovely, touching sometimes, funny sometimes too. In the DVDs he had been travelling around Australia, talking to people along the way, showing us ta bit of their lives. Great stuff, with some of his music, too.

I'm wanting to be up late tonight because I have a blood test to do tomorrow morning. It's one which I have to fast for, so I want to have a midnight snack, big snack, so I won't feel too hungry before I go for the blood test. If I could be sure I'd wake up at 1:30am, I'd be having my snack then. The timing would be just about perfect. It's definately possible that I could wake up at tthat time, if I went to bed at my usual time, just not guaranteed.

Did someone say to use an alarm to wake up? That doesn't necessarily work for me.

So, in the morning, while only permitted water, I'll have to do something to not think how I'm not having breakfast. Certainly, I'll listen to some music, dance around, too. & tidy up around here a bit.

Oh, & I heard a song today, which came out in 1959, called 'Lawdy Clawdy'. Ah, but it wasn't about a cat & her claws.

Hugzies,

mmMekitty
