The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.
The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.
Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...
So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...
Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open
At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

That does sound like a fun idea, to make the most of it. But is it making you feel sick or anything? And when do you have the blood test?

Ah I'm sorry yggy wish I could help you in some way.... So with the IBS does your body have trouble digesting a lot of fibre ? So do you juice your own juice from vegetables and fruits, like to get a good supply of nutrients?
I need to leave this cafe for now, but I will come back to see you.....well write to you, or visit.
I'm not sure how to end this reply to you, so I guess I will just give you another hug.
With love Shelley

Hi Everyone. Its good to see the usual familiar faces back at the Cafe.
I brought little Holly along to say hello to everyone here as well. She's a very good little dog and wont bark or make a pest of herself with other customers. She quite likes cats, so Mocha and Latte need not fear her. Feel free to give her a pat. She is a little shy but friendly and, unlike some timid dogs, she would never bite anyone. If you ignore her she will probably walk up to you and give you her paw for a handshake. Once she gets to know you she would welcome a warm lap to curl up and sleep on. And she loves the odd titbit to eat. But only very small bits please, as she is only a little dog! Once she meets you, she will remember you the next time and will be happy to see you again. I will just leave her here on the comfy sofa, which she seems to have claimed as her own, and I'll grab a chai latte for myself.
Shelley and Yggy - I think I am one of the rare lucky people who does not have any food allergies or intolerances. And I also do not have any dietary restrictions because of diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or weight issues. So in general I am a very healthy 56 yo. So I do consider myself fortunate indeed, because as you say Shelley, so many people do have food intolerances these days. I am able to eat whatever I like, rather than what likes me.
Okay, I will just call Holly and we'll head off. I didnt see the Cafe cats this visit, but maybe Holly will get to meet them next time. I suspect they were hiding in case Holly was aggressive towards them. They need not have worried, she's as gentle as one of Shaun The Sheep's baby lambs. You just would not want to be a rabbit!

Hi,
i had bad IBS before I started ADs too. I still get it sometimes now but nowhere near as bad. Dr told me that ADs do actually help with it.
i am more of a dog person than a cat person, however I'm an animal lover in general.
Helped myself to a banana smoothie this morning. Was tasty. Have a wonderful New Years everyone.

Thats interesting about the IBS. I believe from reading I've done in the past (husband gets it), that it is made worse by stress and anxiety. So that makes sense with the AD meds helping somewhat.
Hey KT, this is a pet friendly Cafe you know. Bring along your chook next time. All animals great and small. I think thats an old RSPCA advertisement that used to be on tele years ago?
I also add my best wishes to everyone here for a safe, happy and healthy 2016.

Hello my friends,
been baking nibbles this afternoon and thought I drop some off in the cafe, there are plenty sausage rolls, pies and vegetarian triangles for everyone.
I wish you all a beautiful New Years Eve and a healthy and somewhat happier New Year 2016!!!
Stay safe and see you next year,
Yggy xoxo

Thanks Shelley. Yes I believe it is Holly's stuffed toy. Its called Moo, and looks a bit like a yellow spotted cow. Its her favourite toy, so look after it for her please. She takes good care of all her toys, so I think you may be mistaken about chew marks. But it may look a little grubby where she carries it in her mouth when she plays fetch with it. She still has all her original toys from over 6 years ago. Like I said before, she's a gentle little thing.
Yggy, the baked finger food sounds perfect for a casual new years eve in the Cafe. Wish I could come, but hubby wants to go to our local Tavern for a few drinks and Karaoke. Expect to be home early though.
Happy new year..
Sherie xx
