Hi GAD (and a wave to Paul and to Kanga too),
Ah my Sturts Desert Peas ended up as an epic failure. You're right in their preferred climate they are fabulous. In north WA they used to grow like mad on roadsides. Cold nights. Hot days and low rainfall. They were fine at our place until the winter rain. Like you said... Killed with kindness 😊.
Welcome to the forums. Like Paul I wonder about your name. I'll look out for your thread if you choose to start one.
Nat
PS. Just popping some water lilies into the frog pond here. Kanga your garden looks even better each time I visit.

Great Aussie dream is fiction Stuarts desert pea is hardy lots do tend to try to help it to much. Most people I have met need the help the desert pea doesn't. We need more watering fertilizing the occasional pruning to cut away dead wood. Which shapes us into better people. Old saying "what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. But personally I can do with out the pain it brings into ones life. Stick around we need good people around here. Which is one reason I stay

Hi Kanga,
Sorry to hear your news. Whenever you feel able to post we'll be here to listen and care.
If you can't get outdoors I hope you can find comfort in your virtual garden. I'll plant some kangaroo paws here for you. The colourful bold red and green ones.
