Well not much depends on the size of your property some people don't have much room so they graft a lemon and an orange tree together and they get two different fruits. You could have several different oranges grafted to one or two trees. Then you get all of them all with in a small area.

Hey Kanga
Do you reckon I should start fertilising my garden yet?
and spray the weeds in grass?

Hi All,
This is an excellent thread. I was told on the weekend that fire ash is good for roses, has anyone heard that?
I'm guessing that letting the hot coals cool first might be a good idea. (tongue in cheek)

Ash in any soil helps the water enter the ground better, and helps hydrate the soil. Wood ashes will raise the pH and lower the acid in soil. Because of this, you should also be careful not to use wood ashes as fertilizer on acid loving plants like azaleas, gardenias and blueberries. Also please don't burn treated pine the chemicals may still be active when you put them in the soil if its your vegie garden arsenic poison will be present can lead to death. please be Careful if using ash in your garden or anywhere. I used heaps in one of my pet jobs the garden when I got there looked like a jungle. When I left it resembled the botanical gardens. Heaps of work went in my street had me working on theirs before I left Caching$$$$$$$$$$$ it was a full time job in the end Looking after Kids working on one house or another. I cheated a little. I mapped it out for them worked out what to put in and when. they did most of the manual labor.
