Didn't Procol Harem sing Whiter Shade of Pale? Everlys seem too clean-cut to sing that one.

I remember The Pushbike Song from the early 70s simply because I had a crush on a bloke who rode a bike to work....aaah Isn't it amazing how music invokes memories..the two go together!

Many thanks Mr Croixy man ☺ hi everyone. Hi Mary, hoping you're well. A while ago I read about your poor health you poor darl 🖐

So Croixy man, gotta admire people when they take any opportunity to gently complain about the surfeit of Emojis. 🤔 Hymm must have a chat to my partner in crime our gorgeous Grandy...oh...😲 ... 😶...you mean moi....hey... her and I are bbff (beautiful best friends forever) so we're a unit... 😂...seriously though budz any problems please feel free to talk anytime... to Grandy 😄
Oh Oh 😄 nearly forgot.. Can't find a broom so thought this 🏌️‍♂️ golf club might help you choof them into cyber land.

I looked up Marcelle Marceau is why it went over my head. Funny tho before I checked him out today it clicked yesterday 😂 Halarious aren't ya... have you considered comedy ...you should be on stage...first one out of town 😄 and just for that I'll grace you with an extra ...😸 is Sumo the angry cat? Anyhoo thats a pic of it being smug.

Croixy I notice you don't talk a lot about yourself health wise.
I recently read this threads for general chat, fair enough.
I've noticed nurses often take interest and enquire about health. I'm wanting to support you, that's if you're wanting to talk about it of course.
You're so good to so many apart from caring about you I'd like you to get some back. No probs if not 🙂

Btw I very much like and will remember your pact with your wife you mentioned on another thread. I went a similar way yrs ago. If I remember I'll mention at mine one day.

Moon I find it amazing too how music invokes memories. I think because it's so wide spread and loved hence it's pretty well everywhere we are memories flow.

Bbl with the rest.

Hope you're well or at least improving dear Mr Croixy 🤗 and everyone 🕊

Dear All~

Moon: Yes, you are quite right, Procul Harum are the originators of that song, which is why I enjoyed it when the Everly Bros had a stab. I'm glad you thought of the gentleman on the pushbike, you are probably someone who might respond best to songs and so on to evoke past scenes.

DB: Thanks for you inquiry, I've a degenerative condition that does limit things a bit, however I managed a walk by the river today (and was told off by that native hen, then saw a platypus)

No Sumo Cat is a placid goodnatured snoozy (you could say lazy if you were feeling unkind) cat, it is Nasty Cat 🐱 who is 110% attitude, teeth and claws.

Thank you for the golf club. FORE! the first of the excess emoji is coming your way:)

caught it 😂

Yes I remember you said about a degenerative condition which saddened me. You're welcome btw ☺

I didn't think Sumo was the nasty but wanted to check.

I recently squizzed at the... oh...😍 darlin things ..widdle kitty size puddy tats on you tube so of course now I'm getting notifications not that I mind they're just adorabubbles. Grown ones apart from nasty cat and Mums when it had it's spac attacks are lovely too.

Awesome it's a good feeling getting back out isnt it. Does it hurt walking and physio?

Platypus sounds neat to see. Can't think if it was that or something else you saw before. Lovely seeing nature and animals. Sounds really lovely where you go. Waters usually a safe bet for beauty.

Maybe angry hen needs to be told she needs an attitude adjustment. Wonder if it's got young it's protecting.

I'm enjoying very much Medium on TV. Didnt watch when it was on before. I love the natural family life too and they're a very loving couple which is a nice balance to a gruesome but interesting show.

Enjoy your evening Mr Croixy and Mrs ... dare I say 😁

I'm making a 🎁 for you and your family

Caio peeps sleep well everyone lets hope. 😴

Btw Grandy thought maybe band practice at 3 am?

Hello Mr Croixy...

I can visualise you sitting on your comfy chair with your smoking jacket on a pair of ugg slippers a nice warm blanket over your knees and reading a good book 📚 and occasionally you look at the dancing crackling flames 🔥 of your warm fire...Then there’s Sumo 😽 sleeping on the top of your chair in his smart new smoking jacket 👘..looking so happy😁...

Lovely that you got out to have your walk today..I think the native hen 🐓 sits in wait for you 😁 and it loves to show you that he is boss of his little area...Platypuses are amazing creatures..Did you know that both the female and male platypus has spurs on their feet...the males spur is venomous..so be careful and not getvto close dear Mr Croixy...

3 am band practise...Yes I’m up for that Deebi..I’ll bring some hot coffee and some 🔩🛠..Maybe we can umm “borrow “ Mr Croix’s fire place..We can put it back when we finish..I won’t tell him if you don’t 🤫..

I hope your doing as good as you can be and looking after yourself dear sir....

If it okay I’d like to send you some of my love and hugs to you and everyone reading....💜🤗...oh and a flower for your coffe table..

Grandy

Hello Croix

Tut,tut, you are a little behind the times. It's ABC Classic these days. They have dropped the FM. Ed Ayres is still there and takes the weekend breakfast program from 6:00am to 9:00am. Yesterday he also presented a concert from 11:30am. I have most impressed by the way he has been supported by the ABC and in particular by the other presenters.

Thanks for asking DB. I am pretty well these days with the occasional tired day. Must be doing too much?

I am a teenager of the sixties and love the music from that era. Having children means being exposed to other genres whether I like it or not but now they have families of their own they are finding the same thing. My children grew up with heavy metal which my eldest son loved. While I listened to Peter, Paul and Mary they listened to Led Zeppelin and Queen amongst others.

Croix....re music evoking memories....each time I hear Elton John's Crocodile Rock, I recall hearing it for the first time when it was relatively "new"....it was in an underground bar in Frankfurt, dancing with a bunch of Americans and drinking Harvey Wallbangers (I'd never heard of them before) in very tall glasses as long as your arm!!....

I'll think of more now, you've got me started!! Hope I don't bore you senseless....."Moon's Musical Memories" perhaps?

Moon: More Moon's Musical Memories please

Mary: Of course I'm behind the times, I still think the Charleston is too daring for words

But you are younger than me.

OK Mary, so I guess you must think the minuet or pavane by the younger generation shows far too much abandon.
