Well you asked for it. Tell me if it gets boring and I'll stop. "Beautiful Sunday" by Daniel Boone in the 70s..."Sunday morning, up with the lark, think I'll take a walk in the park...hey hey hey, it's a beautiful day"

means Hong Kong to me. on a brief stopover on way back to Oz, walking around the markets, vendors had cheap radios, cassettes etc they were spruiking and that number must have been top of the charts over in Hong Kong as the tinny crackly sounds of Beautiful Sunday was blasting out from stalls all over the marketplace....

Dear Moon and All

Thank you for that , I've only been to Hong Kong airport so have no idea what it would be like. To give you a fair exchange the Blue Danube waltz reminds me of two thngs, one being a computer game involving spaceships my offspring played in the 80's and more significant for me a carousel in the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris in the late 50's. I ate my head off with waffles (called des briques for some reason) there but suffered no ill effects:)

What a gorgeous memory to have - of the Carousel in the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris, while the Blue Danube was playing...and eating your fill of waffles! Conjures up such an enchanting scene....lovely.

I see a little boy in a sailor suit outfit, with a big straw hat, white socks and black Mary Janes...(shoes)...perhaps clutching a balloon with his bag of waffles in the other hand?

Dear Moon~

You are right, it is a gorgeous memory (particularly the waffles:) I'm afraid I was too young to appreciate all the finer things of that city, what a waste. As for dress, grey suit school uniform with cap in pocket if I remember. The cap was in my pocket so I would not been seen as schoolboy, or so I thought at the time- a bit hopeful. As for my other hand, that was for wiping the honey off my face that dribbled down from the waffles.

Mr Croixy and all hi there 👋

Been meaning for ages to drop by and see how your going. How's life Croixy. I hope very much your healths behaving and that you're able to enjoy walks more often than not and having your ritual with the stroppy hen

I've heard you and Moon our gorgeous Grandy to I think.. well I know she's a gorgeous, talking about classical music that you all enjoy. Heard recently that Mozart is one of if not the top best classical for MH.

I've been listening a few times which I'd like to habit daily "Weightless" by Marconi Union.

It's no1 in the world for best music made in collaboration with music therapists for reducing Anxiety

It's also said to slow the hearbeat and lower Blood pressure. I don't know for everyone but if anxieties lowered BP very well too could.

"Tests showed that listening to this song resulted in a staggering 65% reduction in the participants’ overall anxiety and a 35% reduction in their usual psychological resting states"

Cool eh.

I was listening to relaxing music that followed that. I guess classical too some beautiful calming music.

So have you been having your 🎷 and smoking it 😉 with Mrs Croixy and Angry cat and Sumo? Absolutely love that.

When Grandys feeling better we're planning some more band practice at yours. Take note I didn't ask I said 😆

Ok time to move along. Thoughts care and appreciation Mr good man.

There you go only 5 emojis, spoiling you a bit too I think 😁

Cyaz around. Tattybye for now ☺

"Tattybye"? You NZ characters certainly have a way with words!

Dear DB it is good to hear from you. I took your advice and listened to "Weightless" by Marconi Union. I'm afraid I liked the scenery more than the music, though that's just me. I watched the 'official' version which has a small lake similar to those found in the South Island, which brought back fond memories (and others of overgrown dick-birds wrestling off my windscreen wipers and gouging at the rubber around the windscreen.)

By hapy coincidence hte next video up to play was Erik Satie's - "Gymnopédies". If you like impressionist paintings accompanied by music it would certainty strike a chord.

No walks I'm afraid, too cold. So that native hen wins -at least for now. As for band practice, I think I'll run away 💨to NZ and leave you to it, the albatross sanctuary on the Otago Peninsula probably would sound more soothing 🤦‍♂️ - I feel a headache coming on:(

Nasty Cat has gone to take over the bed, Sumo Cat is 'busy' (dignified cat talk for asleep) by my elbow as I type in front of the fire and Mrs C is lecturing Foxy Dog about coming in the house with muddy paws (not making much headway I'm afraid).

I see you are getting on with🤦‍♂️your Mindspot course -waht do you think of it?

Sigh, I somehow sent the message incomplete and unedited, so you get all the typos and spelling mistakes as entertainment. Ah well c'est la vie

Hey Croixy 😆 and everyone ☺

No probs with typos I figure them out we all have those days. So easy to send it's quite close to the text box.

I'm being careful how I sign off because a couple of people thought it was my name which these days I like most of the new ones so not surprising.

Nice hearing about NZ 😍 After 30 plus yrs I still get homesick seeing stuff on TV the Haka did you see that, very impressive and talking to kiwis not that I've met heaps but a few.

Oh let me give you something to help your headache... wait up just gotta find it...clunk, clatter, thrash thud ouch... 😶 okaay then here we go 🥁 oop sorry ..meant 🎧 so you can listen to heavy metal while Grandz and I warm up..oh did I mention we're tuned directly into NZ radio... couldn't bear you missing out.

😂 Albatross sanctuary... I say Grandy we might have to amp 🎚🎛 it up a notch 📣

Phooey those birds sound serious going for the rubber. Haven't seen much of NZ just a handful or so places. Beautiful country. Oz is too. From TV magazines books we scored an incredibly beautiful planet.

Oh I do love your fireplace. Loven the "busy" cat commentary. Be interesting to see when it warms up if hissy hens still there. Bravado and all.

So a doggy too eh, how does Angry cat go with Foxy?

Did I tell you where we use to live 3 Jack Russells, oh struth unbelievable blood curdling savage growls at eachother being taken for walks one had a nip at me bike riding once geesh they were really awful natured dogs you could see the lady didnt have much control, they'd when the owners were out we all knew, they wouldnt stop barking for hrs at a time. Sames happening here but the owners are friends so I've become a dog whisperer and just starting to make progress to quieten him. He also goes nuts on incessant barking. I'm firm when I have to be but prefer being nice and when his bark changes I tell him good boy after a second or two. Proud of my efforts there.

Thanks yes enjoying Mindspot very much and practicing, god knows the thoughts of any rubbish are giving me plenty

Shame you weren't fussed on the music I too wouldnt say its outstanding but pleasant & calm. I can listen without turning it off same as I'll put his name up in the thread I'm thinking to do soon ish that followed "weightless" for me the other day. The bloke has several relaxing music whatsys Very easy listening. Good on you having a listen.

Oh out of characters cya ☺
