We've lost Harry Belafonte - I remember listening to a couple songs when I was little, likeing the rich warmth of his voice.

Dear All~
I'll be mostly off-line from 30 April until 6 May (having fun:)
I suppose by the time I get back my iceberg will be reduced to multi-coloured ice-cubes - you lot have been suspiciously quiet recently, you must be busy plotting mischief:(

I hope you feel better soon

No fooling you, eh? I've been working on 3D cordial coloured iceblock jigsaw pieces for two weeks now ... I don't know how you guessed so close to the truth!
After we've dismantle, melt & add the colouring, it's just a matter of pouring the liquid into the 3D printer's maw, & watching the jicsaw pieces pop out the other end, perfectly shaped, frozen solid as ever.
Then it's all on board to put the pieces together - it'll be seamless. You won't notice anything but the colours, & the sweet taste should you go around licking your iceberg - when you return.
It'll be something for yu to look forward to, whot, old chap?
Hugies

Wonderful idea MK. Do you think the coloured jigsaw pieces could also act as a kind of chess board game? The penguins and kiwis could act as chess pieces, except the kiwis will have trouble staying put on their squares and will probably stagger about a bit. LRC could be a queen of course. I can imagine penguins standing straight and tall like bishops. Just a thought. We might have to adapt to a new version of chess that has an igloo in the middle of it.

Oh, I was not quite clear enough, ER. Croix's igloo will no longer be made of regularly shaped & uncoloured ice blocks - it will BE a coloured 3D Jigsaw Puzzle. It's overall shape will be retained, including the chimney above the fireplace, only now, it will be all the pretty colours I can mix up.
The game of chess will need some remarkable changes in order to play on a curved , multi-coloured surface. But I like the idea for the pieces. Can you run up some costumes for the penguins & kiwis so we can identify each piece? If we don't, then there will e much merry mayhen & cheerful Chicanory had by all.
I'm not so sure I'd like being Queen, not with all the handshaking, ribbon cutting & such, although, I wouldn't mind introducing a few dozen Pesky Penguins & Inebriated Kiwis to the castles... that could liven thing up a bit, wot? We'll get those Beefeaters moving, dancing maybe ... waht about a tango, fellows? (They are all fellows, still, aren't they?)
We'll have to change that, unless they are all happy).
Fancy a trip up to the Thames, Croix?
Hugzies to you & everyone

Oh tis the igloo that shall be made of puzzle pieces. How wonderful! It will look beautiful. Croix will have to try hard not to lick away and eat the igloo itself with those tempting, yummy cordial ice blocks.
I’ve got the stingrays at work knitting and crocheting costumes with their tails. It will be fun to have dress-ups even if we can’t play standard chess. We could run up the side of the igloo with special spiked shoes that stick into the ice, perhaps? The igloo may end up looking like a crazy, multi-coloured echidna with penguin’s pretending to be bishops sticking out of it.
