Hey Croix and a wave to all,

You just weren't clear enough Croix, I think there's a grey area we can work on about having a party on your iceberg Croix.... work on him DB lol!

I could do with some time on an iceberg, it was darned HOT here today. My face went as red as a beetroot! Because it's never too hot for me to garden lol.

When's the party?

Dear Moon~

A horrible thing to happen, and pain killers only go so far anyway. I find if I take the stronger one I'm pretty useless for a day, thinking power in energy saver mode I guess. Sill I'd expect no less of you than to soldier on and I'm glad you made it to the end.

It must have been nice to get that appreciation, it does make a big difference.

I guess it is a pity you are not an actress, Tiny Tim in a Christmas panto/Carol uses a crutch.

For me when down I see no reason to diet and thus eat, the opposite of you, pity.

As for my career, mostly as a detective, in fact only in uniform for an exceedingly short time. No I did not wear a Fedora or trench-coat, just a suit and tie. I'm sad to say I did not look in the slightest like a film star, though I guess if I had to choose I'd say a younger Michael Gambon in Maigret (though I'm flattering myself a bit)

I spent most of my time chasing after limping bowlers (a notorious lot:)

Opinion which on crutches walks, and sounds the words another talks (quote from guess who)

Dear EM (with waves the DB and Grandy)~

I really must stop shilly shallying and make myself clear, there will be no concert on my iceberg - full stop! Its not even as if that pair of troublemakers have any knowledge of music, one rattles a board with beer bottle tops nailed to it while the other blows across the top of a moonshine jug -sheesh.

Quiet well behaved guests with NO musical aspirations are welcome on my iceberg to enjoy the cool and maybe a clam.

Incidentally I feel for you over the death of your pet chook. There is something about animals, partly unconditional love, enthusiasm and fun, plus need that worms into one's heart and sadly when they all too soon pass away leaves one bereft.

P.S. Forgot to say a grandson has a pet chook he carries around all the time.

I confess I find detectives extremely attractive..especially the actor in Underbelly. In fact there have been various actors that I've known who were handsome in the extreme...and yet I can't think of any bowlers who are particularly sexy...tradies are usually hot and a guy in one of those yellow high-vis shirts ...wow!!😘

Forgot to say Michael Gambon pops up in all sorts of cameo roles you're not expecting....(as well as doing a fabulous Oscar Wilde) many years ago (a very young and beautiful Jude Law played Boysie, before he became Jude Law if you know what I mean)....Michael was also in Turtle Diary with Ben Kingsley and Glenda Jackson...i can't find it anywhere but its a brilliant lesser known movie where two strangers decide to set free a huge sea turtle kept in a London Aquarium tank.....

Sylvia Plath (famous poet played by Gweneth Paltrow) was the true story of her suicide and Michael was her neighbour from whom she borrowed some coins to make a final phone call....

A more recent one of his (can't recall the name) ..about residents in a retirement/nursing home for former musicians, actors, singers etc....Maggie Smith, Billy Connolly, Pauline Collins and other well known names.

Just some movie trivia for you.......

Hey Croix...the last person I heard use the term "shilly shallying" was Lady Bracknell....🤣

Awwww ofcourse he does. How sweet.

Thankyou Croix. She was the most perfect little being. SO SWEET!
Just gorgeous.

Sad thing is that our poodle is depressed over this! He's taken to needing to visit the spot we buried her every day, looking at me quizzically, darling boy. We didn't realise the impact of having darling chicken inside the past few months and our poodle checking in on her multiple times a day.
Now we're all back at work and school, IDK.

I sense just a hint of you attempting to mildly set a boundary about your iceberg Croix?
LOL!

Methinks you'll visit the Partying Iceberg once you hear that Lagerphone!
Mrs C would, no doubt about it.

I hope you're doing okay dear Croix...

Dear All,

I'll be taking a couple of weeks off, something I normally do around this time of year.

No hassles or anything to worry about (unless you try to take over my iceberg to make horrible noises:).

I look forward to catching up with you again soon

Be well
