Thanks

Croix...apart from the laptop...sounds as if you're describing yourself in the opening scene of an old movie or play....an Agatha Christie murder mystery perhaps?

Hiya Mr Croixy and everyone ☺

Croixy I'm sorry to hear you have poor health to contend with. Good on you being out walking it wouldn't be good affecting your mobility, I imagine that would pull you down and be quite frustrating. Shame in water didnt work out I but liking your attitude maybe later 👍

😅 it does look like Sherlock Holmes pipe doesn't it. Elementary dear Watson 🕵️‍♀️

Hymmm 🤔 so he's not liking the idea of us perfecting our skills at his place Grandy...nah don't wanna see you move to another iceberg 😅 I love hearing the cosy scene in front of the fire with Sumo

Btw yes it takes a long time getting all the lines in order and spacing, lately I'm doing pencil first which should make it easier with the art. I have a couple of techniques to get around it all. Keen to learn to paint it should be quicker and easier.

Thanks for the thought about a crutch, I'm easing back into walking did a better one today. I'll see how it goes. Theres a little lump on the heel at the back ... dunno

Hope you're enjoying a good read and managing the food ok, difficult isnt it.

Take care Mr Croixy and everyone ☺

😅 loven Grandys 🌋fireplace.

Thought I'd share an 🍎 and 🍒yum love cherries.

Dear DB and All~

Those patterns have so many lines htat are either parallel or track each other closely round curves I'd imagine it is very hard to get them perfectly tight - a skilled job wiht tons of patience.

Didn't someone once before tempt with an apple? Had an unfortunate ending 🙂

HI everyone

Hey it's a pity about the band. If I was to get back into music I would consider changing the area I do to maybe woodwind family or a different kind of string. Did Organ followed by guitar and piano for a while, but my partner did not appreciate me working towards practicing for him. So I gave it up.

I may get back to it if I had someone who valued my efforts.

I love the art idea by the fire. I was doing a bit of water colour there for a bit and sometimes do it if I feel like it. I like to do landscapes of anything that I see of interest.

RE: exercise. I liked the idea of gentle water exercise there for a little while. Maybe an electric bike or mobility scooter would be worth the investment. I paid for one and still have it sitting here in case I go backwards again.

RE: Canes. I once had one that can turn into a seat if you needed it. It was great when walking in groups, I could walk but I could not stand whilst waiting for others. So the cane came in handy I could just convert it into the seat and relax.

Thinking of you Croix.

Irene.

Dear IreneM

Woodwind would be good -a bit of Mozart maybe, the only trouble is Grandy would be setting the beat and DB smoking the place out with that meerschaum pipe.

I have tried a stick with a folding top but I found it did not help so a plain stick it is, plus elbow crutches for emergencies in the back of the car.

A mobility scooter might be ok but I'm stubborn and just want to look like an old guy with a cane, nothing special. (Ive probably seen too many Colonel Sanders ads:)

I can't paint but can do most things digital, not the same but can be quite effective. Wish I was more artistic.

Croix (who hopes you will not go backwards again and need that scooter.)

Hi Croix and Everyone,

Just dropping in to say HI from me to all of you.

I don't have much Dools wisdom to share, just want to let you know Croix that I am thinking of you and hope you do manage to get out for a walk, even if it is a short one.

Life can throw us some unexpected situations now and then. Maybe we don't handle them well straight away, but in time and with a little hindsight, we can move forwards again.

Wishing you all a day where at the end of it, you may feel exhausted but pleased as well.

Cheers from Dools

Dear Mrs Dools~

I'm going to argue of course, your wisdom is showing in just posting here, showing care and understanding.

Yes I managed a reasonable walk this evening and have made some significant strides in ignoring the avoidance that comes with PTSD. So all in all pretty OK. Mind you it took long enough.

Grief of course remains, but is very manageable. I found the same when my first wife passed away, feelings were not too overwhelming after a short while and remained, but manageable, and over time morphed into a mix of memories, some happy.

May I borrow you little hindsight glasses please? They will come in handy for the future:)

I enlarged your avatar, because I want to try to start drawing again...I am going to start with drawing your avatar if that’s okay with you...

Well I got the biggest surprise when I enlarged Mr Walrus...He has a Jacket on with a flower in his pocket and a shirt under the jacket....Not sure if he has trousers on or not...All this time and I never noticed...goes to show us just how much we do miss out on if we don’t look properly....

Hello Mrs Dools, Deebi, Irene and all..I hope your all doing better then okay...

I can loose the 🥁 for a triangle if that more easy on your ears....I don’t mind a bit of Mozart at times..

Dear Croix and all reading,

Ha. Ha. Yes, you can certainly borrow my "Hindsight Glasses". They only work though if you are willing to look at events and situations from the past and accept them for what they were!

We can not change the past. We can change how much we allow it to affect us, both negatively and positively!

Grief can become messy and confusing at times, it is a part of life that reminds us we have hearts that love and care.

Grandy, I like the idea of drawing, looking more closely at things can give us a better view for sure. Allt he best with drawing the walrus!

Cheers all from Dools
