Dear MM
It's good to hear from you, I must confess I've not been following you - or anyone else - for a week or so due to a family matter, however I'm now back.
The shakes are ok (that is the diet drink, not the tremors:), but I suspect I eat too much of an evening, having been well behaved all day:). Anyway we'll see.
I hope you are managing OK, and I"m sorry you don't have the pleasure of sitting by a fireside, it is a lovely cosy feeling.

Dear IreneM~
Sorry for the delay in the reply, been away from the Forum. Yes I'd imagine southern NSW would be ideal for a fire. I was in the ACT for a while and the nights were COLD. We had gas heaters which made for warmth, but did not make for an friendly atmosphere (and chewed though the finances like you would not believe:(
I'm pleased to see you here, I hope you are coping OK

Dear DB~
Ta for asking, I've been off for a week as a family member passed away and there was stuff to do, even though the person lived in another state. Sad, but I'm OK. Just had concentration issues for a while so stopped posting.
So now I'm back and wondering how you foot is getting on. Not being able to go for a walk is something I can relate to. Getting out makes so much difference. Sometimes I only get a block's worth and Mrs Croix has to pick me up in the car, then I wait while she goes for a bit longer.
I find any sort of walk a great help. A change of environment does help change the mood.
Now for the obligatory icon, I've chosen an artist's palette to help wiht your artwork🎨. Actually I looked up NZ tribal art and it looks difficult, with great detail and one wrong move making for a great deal of extra work.

Hi Croix
Sounds like you have been reasonably well in spite of the loss of your family member. Thoughts are with you.
I can relate to you quite well on feeling really hot, had to use the pool three times today to cope with the heat. We use the pool to save on the electricity it can chew through the finances like crazy if you're not aware. Only a wading pool but it's better than suffering like crazy.
I am with you and Moon on the weight loss. I have been trying to do so also, my weight remains stable because I do not overeat. But I still have to watch it. Keen to hear of any weight loss tips, without having any special programs. I suggest eating early in the day, because if you eat late in the day it can interrupt sleep and keep you awake, I almost stop after 4 pm apart from a very small nibble to assist sleep.
My quarterly kidney checkup meant that I might have to change dose of one of my medications. So I have to be careful at present.
Irene.

Dear Iremen and Grandy
Yes I'm OK thanks, sadness comes and goes of course but I meant what I said elsewhere, it is a small price to pay and now I'm back and rabbiting on as usual:)
One thing my doctor said to me about weight loss was even if one does not succeed permanently and it goes back on it is still a good thing and has large benefits. I found that most encouraging. The last time I tried was a very long time ago to go on a course and after it finshed all went back on and my altered suits no longer fit 😞

Hi Mr Croixy and everyone ☺
I too was sorry to hear you lost a family member. Never easy is it ⚘
Good you're back rabbiting on not that I'd say that at all. Your words. ☺ I'm with Grandy you're a wise man with a heart of Gold highly respected and appreciated.
I worry about how your health is Croixy it sounds that walking is hard for you. Do you think walking in water might be easier on you. But then angry hen 🐓 wouldnt have the pleasure of hassling youse.
Thank you for my beautiful art palette very thoughtful I have it sitting on my table ready to use.
Thanks for asking after my foot it's starting to really get me because it's the only thing stopping my walking now and it'd help with weight loss too. It is really nice being out isnt it, I agree it helps the mood no end. I'm thinking to do some shorter ones but I'll have to check with my apprentice nurse ⛑ dear Grandy. I'm icing it often to try to reduce swelling. Achilles tendon.
Hope your days a nice one Mr and you can find a lot of happies in it. Leaving you a couple of things 🥁🎷🎤 if you don't mind storing them for Grandy and I, we're going to start a band and thought we could practice at yours 😂 🤣😎
Take good care Croixy 🤗☺ and everyone 🌹

Dear DB
If you and Grandy come here to practice I'll find other iceberg!
Yes walking is hard, I've a degenerative condition that limits my mobility somewhat, Mrs Walrus is a positive race-car compared to me. (don't tell her I called her Mrs Walrus, she gets most upset!)
I tried physio in water, it was not a success, maybe one day.
It may sond a silly question but could you use a crutch? The ones that do not go in the armpit are reasonably comfortable and leave your hands free - which is a big bonus.
Whose is the Sherlock Holmes pipe between the drum and microphone- yours or Grandy's?

Blazing wood fire, laptop, easy chair in pool of light from standard lamp, Sumo asleep alongside, wind and rain howling outside. Pretty Good!
