Dear Mr Croix..

I was thinking I should take back the cakes then realised that they are virtual cakes, so I decided that even though they look like they are full of cake and cream they are not...The cake part is made of keesh..(oh I can’t spell it) with mushrooms and the topping that looks like cream is mashed potatoes...so now you have a healthy not sure if it’s yummy cake.. 🍰 oh and the little red thing on top in a tomato..😂..

Mr Croix..I’m hoping your doing your meal replacements under your Drs supervision?.. I’m saying out of care and concern for you..🙂..You really do need to take good care of you...Our beautiful Deebi is right, if we don’t eat enough our bodies go into starvation survival and starts doing unhealthy things to our bodies....Please dear Mr Croix take good care of you....

Your cosy chair by the fire sound absolutely so comfy, I used to have a fire in my other home..loved watching the flames, theirs something so relaxing about them...I like wintertime..I hope you enjoy your fire and can get some peace from the dancing flames.. 🔥..

I also hope you and Mrs Croix have a good day and you enjoyed your sit down outside..the clouds truely are wonderful..and stars are amazing..

He doesn't qualify for my "name dropping" I'm afraid....a bit before my time..but I have met folks who did meet him...were very good friends with him actually....sigh!!! how time flies....

Thank you all, it is lovely to have so much attention, even if it does come with threats of cake and caterwauling.

My GP produced an enormous printout, pointed to one tiny insignificance figure and said to lose some weight, so yes it is being supervised.

I've only lost a little and put that down to eating too much of an evening to make up.

Moon, my smoking jacket is à la Alistair Cookie (Monsterpiece Theater), not NC. Sumo is agitating for a fire, but still warm enough without at the moment. Won't be long.

I had a look at the Warbirds too, look lovely - on the ground. I find flying difficult enough in a modern plane. Anyway reminds me of one of my old favorite movies "12 O'clock High"with Gregory Peck. I guess that is before all you young folks time:)

I don’t have a fire in this house I use a heater with a blower..My dogs sit with their fur touching the grill..I have to keep moving them..I’m scared they’ll get heat stroke...

No Croix, I have to admit I haven't known anyone who has met Alistair Cookie...so I can't drop his name as easily as you can. Why are you people talking about fires and heaters?....it's mid 30s up here..unprecedented March heat! It's like we've been cast in the fires of hell since last December!!

That sounds about right, but I'm not sure about showing your age, I remember Radio Luxembourg, which was the only pop station in the UK and one had to tune in with a round green dial called a magic eye. Long before Kenny Everett on his disused sea-fort pirate station.

Love the sound of your fires and that but at the same time agree with Moon. Very hot here!

Wonder if it would be cool enough in southern NSW to enjoy those things. Miss the cool, you can always cover up from it but the heat, you cannot do a lot about it!

@Grand. I assist my other half who is also an entertainer. He does Sinatra Style stuff, which Buble' later made popular. Preference for Swing style Jazz. My personal preference lies with Easy Listening stuff as well as the many sounds of nature. I have audio skills and am ok at balancing and operating a switch. Loud Pop can give me epilepsy, don't want to go back to having seizures again.

When I was young I lived on a farm for a few years in-between living in hospital as a child. Certainly something that I miss, and would give anything to live in such a setting again, especially by a warm cosy fire at night (in a cooler climate)!

Just thought I'd pop in here to see how everyones going since it's been quite on my thread.

It's also way too hot where I am too to even think about warming up. I have a hot body temperature too so am usually wearing just a top while everyone else is in jumpers & jackets.

I was on those shakes too Croix. They have all your vitamins and minerals in them which is great. I didn't stick to it for very long and I'm sure you're doing better than I did. Sometimes weight can be hard to get off. I think my fat is stubborn. It doesn't want to shift. Wishing u luck on your weight loss journey. I hope I can shed too one day.
