Hi everyone. I'm Geoff and have been a dedicated Volunteer on the forums for 13 years. I am proud to have stopped some of the stigmas that are associated with mental health as well as doing my best to help others too

Before my health went south I was a builder in all aspects of home construction and renovation. If you don't have a handyman around I hope I can offer you some tips that may be of help. I have had many years of experience in home renovation and will do my best to help you out if you are stuck and need some advice

I hope my experience may be of help to the people on Beyond Blue and make their life a little bit better. Even if you need help with the most basic painting job or putting up a shelf I can help there too with some tips

I will do my best to get back to anyone that has a question when I can as this is social yet important thread

Hello Sleepy, RX and everyone else, with this lockdown doesn't the cold weather feel twice as bad.

The castors should just click on, I'm sorry easier said than done if you've done it before.

Hi Geoff, I often think about that, you're right.
I tried briefly to put the castors in but didn't hear the click, not sure if i didn't put them in correctly or if it's just a case of pushing them down more firmly....

It's great that you guys genuinely enjoy heater talk (thanks Rx who wrote that earlier!) - so I don't feel so bad asking ... 🙂

I forgot how very cold Winters can get, and another layer is the isolation.... hopefully can put the heater to good use

Hi Sleepy, there is normally a click, from memory one end has to go in first and if the castors are around the wrong way they won't go in.

See how you go, and did you gt the wall bracket.

Hi Geoff that makes sense -
Do you have to buy a separate wall bracket? I didn't buy anything extra to install it on the wall, but the heater itself hs the pieces attached on the back where you'd install it -

I thought I'd do without wall bracket because I can then move it around and also I don't know how to install it

Do you think it works better installed on the wall?

Oh sleepy , don't tell us you haven't had a heater the last few days then, hope not you must be freezing. lf so chuck it on some bricks , work on the casters another time.

Thank you thats good point.... there is one brick in our apartment block that people use to hold the gate open - and maybe i'll find something in our communal garden!! A rock or something?Time to try... yes i've been getting bit down without good warmth

Hi Sleepy, RX and everyone else trying to cope in a year unprecedented on a scale we have never been through before because it only exemplifies the things we mostly don't want it to.

On the Noiret panel heater the wall bracket comes with the heater when you purchase it and to get the bracket off the heater you do so by putting a small screwdriver into the 2 holes that release the bracket on the top.

It's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other, whether you attach it to the wall, it's not like a fan heater where you can take from room to room because the Noiret doesn't blow heat out the same way and give you instant warmth, however, if you want to go from one room to another and be there for a while then you can wheel it around with you, remember it doesn't have a fan, but warmth is being and staying warm, which hopefully you all are.
