Art and craft corner

I would love to hear about peoples different art and craft projects they're up too. Be warned i do some weird projects😆.

This week i've been working on a diorama in an encased thing of a taxidermy pufferfish and baby snake, african grey tail feather and bird,rat,cat and rabbit skull.

The other thing ive been working on which is slow in progress due to supplies is a painting on my wall of a hyacinth macaw which ive only done the outline so far and green winged and blue and gold macaw tail feathers stuck on for the tail. I have a glassless frame around it on wall. I need to get more feathers to finish tail before ill paint the body.

Hi arts and craft projects are great and unfortunately i haven't been doing any of late.The ones i like doing are wood and metalwork.Some of the things i make are bird houses and feeders,horseshoe hooks,horseshoe photo frames,animals out of horseshoes,letter boxs with a tin roof and i also make jams and marmalades.

Good Morning,

Yes it is another cross stitch. Feng Shui/Chinese symbol for "Love". I gave it to family member, who was going through some bad times. I also made another one "Courage" , which I gave to a good friend of mine.

As far as I know, there isn't a community garden in my area. I might look into that soon.

Hi Lynne,the animals i have made out of horseshoes are a turtle,fish,frog and horses head.Would love to try and make a full horse,i will need a lot of horseshoes for that and a lot of patience.I get the horseshoes of a farrier.

Hi Lynne,

Im a big fan of crocheting, Bullet Journaling, diamond painting, cross stitch and a bit of sewing. Am trying to finish a quilt I started making myself like a year ago.

This year for me is all about finishing projects, I'm going to try not to start any new ones until I have finished at least half of the ones I have going (theres a lot! haha)

Your arts and crafts sound very interesting and creative. Personally not sure how I would feel about taxidermy, the painting on the other hand sounds gorgeous. How are you progressing with it?

Your diorama sounds like a really unique and intriguing piece, the combination of the different elements you're using is definitely something different. And the painting of the Hyacinth Macaw sounds like it's going to be a beautiful piece once it's completed.

It's great to see that you're working on something that you're passionate about, and that you're pushing the boundaries with your art and craft projects.
