I would love to hear about peoples different art and craft projects they're up too. Be warned i do some weird projects๐Ÿ˜†.

This week i've been working on a diorama in an encased thing of a taxidermy pufferfish and baby snake, african grey tail feather and bird, rat, cat and rabbit skull.

The other thing ive been working on which is slow in progress due to supplies is a painting on my wall of a hyacinth macaw which ive only done the outline so far and green winged and blue and gold macaw tail feathers stuck on for the tail. I have a glassless frame around it on wall. I need to get more feathers to finish tail before ill paint the body.

Hello,

my craft is counted cross stitch. The last big project that I finished about 3 years ago, 3 dolphins jumping out of water with rainbow (hence the picture). It took me about 6 months over a period of several years to finish, due to work commitments. Hence the picture. At present I'm working on two projects, one small and one huge project.

Just trying to find the time to finish my current 2 cross stitch pieces. One of them, I'm half way through the pattern, I try to keep you updated.

Hi Lynne,

thank you for your lovely words, it made my day. I find that doing cross stitch quite relaxing, since I have to count the stitches. It keeps my mind busy, especially if I have the tellie on. It keeps my mind occupied, while doing this. In some ways it stops my negative thought patterns at bay.

Have a lovely day, cheers

I don't know if gardening can be considered a craft. I never used to enjoy gardening but recently received some little seed packets and planted them over the weekend. One of my housemates sent me a picture today - they are sprouting! It made my day really to see the little green shoots.

Hello sparrowhawk,

I wish I could do some gardening, it sounds like fun. Unfortunately I live in a complex of units, with no space for personal gardening. Only recently I started having some indoor plants and so far the indoor plants are thriving.

Enjoy your new hobby,

Cheers

I never thought I would get into gardening but it is really giving me some purpose.

Even indoor plants can be lovely. I especially like the peace lilies and welcoming plants. I have a little cyclamen which I keep outside my room (I have a small sheltered veranda). It is growing well, too.

Hi sparrowhawk and silvalady

Gardernings definatly an art. Theres so much creativity you can do with a garden. I created a beautiful relaxing garden out the back. Its only a very small yard but i love what ive done with it. I dont have any real plants inside but i have very realistic conifer trees in my alaskan corner. That does make it hard silvalady living in units but thats great youve got plants inside. Is there a little community garden type thing in your surrounds? Is that another crossstitch in your profile pic? I cant see it clearly on my phone to tell

Lynne
