Hello blues23,
I'm so sorry to hear of the troubles you have been experiencing at work. You absolutely deserve a safe work place and I hope that it is something you will soon have. Contacting Safe Work was definitely the right thing to do, but unfortunately it does mean you have to explain what you have been experiencing and relive the awful memories.
Have you considered taking some time off work? Taking a break might be helpful to get some distance and breathing space.
Wishing you the best,
Beeee

Yes due to being injured and going on work cover ( process pending) I am on a break it doesn’t stop work from contacting me , putting me thru more stress by having to relive it over and over. It’s a hard slog my mental health is so bad I had a lady turn up today from work ) not my work site) to drill off something I brought before I got injured and I didn’t answer my door for 20 minutes in fear it was my boss cause she had a white car . The whole thing the bullying, the work safe investigation is too much for me it’s taking such a toll I feel I won’t get a job after all this has finished with and I’m finally recovering from my anxiety over work place bullying and my injury and all these thoughts just keep creeping in all the time .

We are pleased you found the strength to post about your struggles with workplace bullying. Our supportive community is here to help and support you. It can take longer for members to respond right now because we are adjusting to an upgraded forum.
We understand that you have been having lots of difficulty because of concern that those from work who bullied you may come by at any time. Have you discussed this with your GP? Whilst things are in process, it might help to get a mental health plan set up so you can work with a Psych.
Also, we invite you to ring BeyondBlue Support Service on 1300 22 4636 to talk with one of our mental health specialists whenever you get overwhelmed. We also encourage you to call Lifeline on 13 11 14. Both services are available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Please feel free to post here whenever you wish. We are always here for you.
Warm regards,
Sophie M.

ThAnk you , yes it’s a struggle, I have got counseling set up but it’s not until august and I’ve recently found out my work is already readvertise my role without there even being a yes or no from work safe there is also the issue of that fact that I’ve been paid out my entire annual leave I’m not sure why that is the case . A family member of mine says it looks like they ( my work ) has terminated my employment without even going thru the worksafe process .

Hello blues23,
I'm sorry to hear about the bullying and threats, that's really bad and it sounds like you are really struggling with it. I'm glad you were able to go to worksafe, but it sounds like your workplace is still putting a lot of pressure on you.
The august counselling is a short time away, so I wanted to ask if you have any other supports in the meantime? E.g. do you have a GP you could speak to, or have you tried calling the support lines before that Sophie M mentioned?

Hi James
yes I have gone thru the supports have seen my doctor probably need to go again as the anxiety its becoming a lot worse . Yes I have spoken to beyond blue help line and various other supports I’m trying my best to not let it get to me the work safe investigation the whole thing it’s very hard on top of the already 11 months of bullying & harassment I’ve already suffered sometimes it’s all too hard to cope and deal with all these things that keep coming at me and most days I find it really hard

Hello blues23,
Sorry about responding to you a bit late.
I understand. It really is a lot you are going through right now and in the past as well. You mentioned your anxiety is becoming a lot worse. How are you managing? From what I've personally been through and also spoken about with others, it seems like the experience can be different from person to person, so I don't want to make any assumptions. If you'd like to share anything about your experience and if you have any coping strategies, you're more than welcome to share whatever you feel comfortable to. We may not be able to provide the same clinical advice and help that a counsellor can in August, but hopefully we can give you our support as people who have been through similar experiences

Hi James
some days it’s really hard , I either have panic Attacks or stress internally most of the days , coping it’s subjective I try to keep busy today I was stressed again after being stressed on Fri as well . I baked today ( baked a cake ) and kept busy most of the bay without much break in between doing things( no time to sit , rest or think) certainly it’s a way of coping to keep myself so busy I can’t have time to be going too much into what’s going on . I don’t / am not this busy most days I usually walk quite a lot which helps sometimes but the stress is still there I’ve found myself walking up to 2 hours a day which is ok I’m fit but it still doesn’t help me much , I try doing normal things like washing the dishes ect that helps as my mind on the task not the issues I’m having. I’m pretty bad if I’m completely honest at like managing it I can do it but some days it’s so overwhelming and the stress just pops Back in .l don’t have much family i can vent to only one member and they have there own stuff as well . My parents are sorta ok to talk to but made the suggestion I should go back to work at this place I call hell. I cannot even begin to face that prospect of that I cannot even . So I mentioned would u like to go to work be hit be abused be put in situations where people u work with have deliberately sabotaged things so u end up getting hurt ( and you ask for help from your supposedly supportive manager) do u get help no , you get told ur feelings don’t matter and that u are imagining things . There is also a lot of anger and rage I have at the issues that have caused me so much anxiety the rage is huge and when it comes it comes but there’s no one to rage at so it just sits festering . I’m away from that situation while my injury heals and work on my mental health but what will come of it , the future scares me what will happen how long can I manage without an income while work safe investigates . I try not to think on these things but they are very real the what ifs and what will happen . It’s very scary .

Hi blues23,
I am sorry this is happening. It is great that you went to Safe Work, that is an important step. They may need to ask you questions so they can get a picture of how to help you. Your employer should not be making this hard for you, and if they are, you should continue reporting it to Safe Work. Everyone deserves a workplace where they feel safe and protected.
Have you taken some leave? Maybe this will help you regain some power over your mental health?
Jaz xx
