TW health anxiety

I suffer from pmdd, anxiety and depression. My trauma plays out very physically in my body as my psychs tell me - however it doesn’t help that I have incredibly bad health anxiety.

I keep getting these shivery feelings in my brain, and wake up with headaches thinking I’ve had seizures in my sleep.

I have varicose veins that always ache that make me constantly worried about getting a DVT.

Does anyone else get physical symptoms like this and they’ve proven to just be anxiety etc? I’m so scared

Dear Annabay~

I'll join Sophie_M in welcoming you back, I don't think I've seen you around for nearly a year (sorry if I missed anything)

Back then you made several posts talking about various symptoms your doctors had said were produced by anxiety -the chest on is one I have had myself and been tested exhaustively, similarly for headaches and many other matters.

In fact the answers and advice people gave to your query about what others got ran to 10 pages, which shows the very great diversity of anxiety based symptoms.

So getting your headaches and shivery and also your varicose veins checked out would be what I'd do, but only as a precaution, I'd try to accept negative findings, whch can be hard. With my heart there were a lot of tests up to MRI before I was sort of satisfied they were anxiety and nothing else, I'm afraid that is the nature of anxiety, not to believe.

Do you mind if I ask if anything has happened recently, or around October/December anytime to make your anxiety more pronounced? You did mention trauma at one stage.

I hope you let us know how you go
