Does anyone get facial numbness randomly especially on the cheek area near your nose? I get it even when I’m not feeling anxious can this be a anxiety or stress thing and does anyone experience it frequently?

Hi Rach93,

Thank you for your post! This is not something I experience personally but I wanted to share a couple of links with other members who have experienced it as part of their health anxiety -

Hi Rach93

I can't say I relate to numbness in relation to anxiety, but I understand it must be frustrating for you. romantic_thi3f has shared some great links you can check out. If you feel up to it, could you elaborate more on when you get it? It might help us work out how to help you better or at least point you in the right direction.

Hi,

thanks for your reply..

I could really say there’s a specific time I get it, it comes on randomly and is there for a little while then goes away. It can be in any situation and I can be at home and it happens.. it just doesn’t make sense I am feeling lots of other physical symptoms & I am putting them all together and convincing myself it’s MS even though drs are saying it’s ‘ highly unlikely’ I’m still very afraid. I did have a baby 4 months ago and am wondering if it’s my body’s way of healing or maybe hormones. I also read another new parent experiencing similar symptoms.

Hi Rach93

That's certainly a lot to think about, I hope you are taking care of yourself! Would it be worth getting a second professional opinion, if that reassured you and eased your anxiety about this overall? Say to the second doctor that you have read about new parents experiencing similar things and see what they say in response. How does that sound?

Hey! I’ve been getting the same thing. When I’m busy I don’t get it, I sit down and I feel tingling sensation on my nose and outwards on my cheeks (like where my sinus is) I had a baby just over 3 months ago, we lost him. But interesting that I’ve found someone with the same thing.
