I found out today I have an eating disorder
I went back to school after I found out
I had to leave class and I went to the bathroom and just cried and cried
is that normal?
I kinda knew I had one but the doctor did some test and I felt so ashamed and my parents now know.
i also have to get some blood test because of it and im really scared
my friends also told me today they are glad im getting help because they were gonna tell an adult soon because I kept saying I was fine
and they said how me telling them stuff worried them a lot
but they told me to tell them
so im feeling very alone at the moment

Hello Dear Amellie,
Its great that you now have a diagnosis for your eating disorder, that means with your Drs help and support you can start on the road to recovery with professional help, with your parents knowing they will also be a good support…
Please don’t feel ashamed of your diagnosis sweetheart, you have an illness that needs to be treated, it’s also okay to cry, crying is a natural way to let out our emotions…blood tests are taken by millions of people all around the world on a daily basis…there’s nothing to be afraid of Amellie, I’m sure your mum will go along with you to help you to understand what’s happening…and be a caring and loving support for you….
You have nice friends who care about you…and I have no doubt that they are very proud of you being brave enough to reach out to your Dr and parents….sometimes telling your friends about your struggling with can upset and scare them….maybe now your parents know, you could lean on them for support…
All my best wishes for your upcoming blood test…talk here anytime you feel you want to…we are listening..
My kindest thoughts and care,
Grandy…
