I’m just in need of support right now that life will go back to how it was before covid, and it’s not impossible for me to have my dream job and for us to be able to follow our plans and have the life we’d like together.

Hi Addie_!
A big hug for you! Covid has really been a huge pain in everyone's lives. Everyone feels and copes differently. With the news of going into lockdown, then normal then lockdown, it is normal to see as if nothing is going to get better. BUT! Think of it this way, things are going back to as normal as they can be, although it is very slowly. We learn to cope in this difficult situation, and we will come out stronger than ever! Even if this situation sucks for our personal, social and work life, we are making the best of it. And from the sound of your post, you are still persistent in forging ahead with your studies and starting a career in aged care. Good for you!
With what you're feeling, have you talked to your boyfriend about what you are feeling? I'm sure he is feeling the same as you. You can talk to your friends here too about it. If not, do you have someone you trust and confide in? I'm sure they'll listen to you.
Stay strong! Don't lose hope! Once you get your qualifications and dream job, it'll be all worth it in the end. 🙂

Hi Addie,
Welcome to the Beyond Blue forums and thank you for being so open. I can see that you are feeling distressed about the whole COVID situation. Completely understandable. It is so difficult.
There is still hope. These last two years have been so tough. You are so strong for getting through it.
My advice to you is to make sure you still have communication with your partner. Don't lose hope and plan your goals for the new year.
Stay safe and i am here to chat if you need me.
