Dear Lebs~
Welcome here, this is a place where there are lots of people that have felt much the same as you. Anxiety really does govern life and makes normal everyday actions very hard or next to impossible. Even using the phone or going out to meet someone can give hours of worry beforehand and stress after too. Waiting for the bad to happen is a terrible way to be and you deserve better.
I guess there are a couple of this to say to start with. Mental Health and illness are just labels. How you feel is real, and it is how you feel that needs fixing so you can have a happy life and do the things you want without all the endless anxiety.
Second social media is not a good place to find out unbiased and factual information that applies to an individual. So it's not a good thing to base judgment on it's information - particularly if you have to make important decisions.
It takes a health professional who has experience and training to see what is wrong and know the types of treatments that will help. This applies with everything from a broken leg to anxiety. My I suggest you go see your GP in an extended consultation and say exactly how you are feeling, what your life is like and the problems you face. Doing so was the start of my improvement, things simply got worse before.
If you think it might be too difficult to talk in a face to face situation you could do what I have done and write everything down first and share the paper. I used point form and it worked well. If you would rather you could printout or show your post.
While you have given a pretty clear idea about how you feel you have not said a great deal more about you. Anxiety can be made better or worse by our circumstances and the people we have around us. Have there been things happening recently that have put more pressure on you?
Most importantly is there anyone in your life you can talk to about your worries and how you feel. If there is someone that cares and wants to hep it does make a big difference. You do not feel so isolated. I had my partner and she made the world of difference.
You have made a great first step by coming here, it may have been difficult to do, it does take courage, so please stay with us and talk some more
