Hello MissPineapple,
Welcome to Beyond Blue Forums, we are a kind, caring and friendly group of people who are wanting to help..
Firstly I would like to say..Well Done on being pro active and reaching out for help..
The psych are professional people they seem to have different types of treatment but it's basically talk therapy and teaching you different ways of thinking, but all Psych have their own way of helping you, but please remember that they are there to help you.. Please don't be nervous, they are there to help you get well.
I see a Psych once a month and I look forward to the visit monthly because I always feel better the day..
When is you psych appointment? Only if you want to answer..
This is your space here on the forums, please feel free to talk any time you feel to...Keep talking here if you need/feel to and well try our best to give you a few suggestions to keep you calm until your psych appointment.
Kind thoughts,
Grandy..

Hi,
Welcome to beyond blue. I think that Grandy has said just about everything that needs saying. Except I will add this 🙂 ...
I am always conscious of the time I have with the psychologist. There have been occassions where I am asked a question that I am not ready to answer or I don't know the answer to. In the case of where I don't want to answer, she will generally reword the question so that yes or no answers are needed. We also have a non verbal form of communication. No answer is in the affirmative. As far as questions I don't know the answer to yet, I make a mental note or write on phone so that I can reflect on it between sessions.
Like Grandy I also like going to see my psych. It is a chance to unload, to reset or recharge. And then ready to face the next day(s).
Tim
