Stress

Erinnnnn
Community Member

Hiii I’m Erin. I’m an international student who is experiencing a feeling which is that I’m trying so hard to approach the person I want to be but failed very often. It affects my confidence and I’m worrying if I could really take good care of my parents in the future…Kind of sad emotion comes along with the more stress when I heard that my grandma was very sick and maybe I need to go back to my hometown earlier as soon as I finish this semester to see her..

Hi Erinnnnn,
Welcome to the Forums and thank you for your post.
We are sorry to hear you are going through such a tough time right now. Being an international student brings with it its own unique set of challenges, and it is completely understandable to be feeling stressed and concerned about your family back home.

It sounds like you are doing your best during a really challenging time, and that is the best that anyone can ask for. It is okay not to have everything figured out right now and we hope that you can treat yourself with kindness as you navigate this difficult time. You are not alone in these feelings.

If you ever want to talk, please know that there’s always someone here for you to talk it through with. The Beyond Blue counsellors are available 24/7 on 1300 22 4636 or online, here.

Thank you once again for sharing. We hope that this can be a supportive and safe space for you.
