Hi,
I hate my school so much. I have no friends there because my former friends talked behind my back and convinced the teachers that I am a horrible person, which has been incredibly painful. I don’t trust anyone at school anymore, and my only real support comes from my netball team. I have wanted to move schools for two years, but I feel stuck; my parents want to send me to a local public school where my ex-best friend has already threatened to bully me. I am desperate to leave my current environment, but I feel trapped because the only other options are either unsafe or too far away. I dont know what do do please help
Thanks

We’re sorry to hear what’s going on with your previous friends, and that you’ve felt trapped at school. That sounds really difficult and isolating. We’re really glad you could share this here though.
Hopefully, we’ll hear from a member of this amazing community. In the meantime, we wanted to let you know that there’s a few places you can reach out to, whenever you need to talk things through and get some ideas for how you can get some better support. There are our friends over at KidsHelpline on 1800 55 1800, and you can also reach them online.
Please know that the Beyond Blue counsellors are here for you as well, and you can reach us on 1300 22 4636 or online anytime if you feel like talking it through.
Thanks again for posting here. It must have taken a lot of strength to share this, but you never know who will read this post and feel less alone in their own experience.
Kind regards,
Sophie M

Hi there,
Thank you for opening up on here, I know it isn't easy. I'm sorry to hear about what you're going through at school. It does sound painful and unkind how you have been treated. But I'm glad to hear you have real support from your netball team. Hopefully you can remain close to them and hang out with the right people.
You mentioned how your ex-best friend has threatened to bully you which is absolutely not ok. Is there anybody at school like a coordinator or school psychologist you can talk to about this with? I can understand why you feel trapped, that wherever you go it always seems like theres bullies. I hope you can talk with your parents about different options and find something that works.
You are always welcome to keep reaching out here. We're here for you 🤗
