Physical and mental numbness

MargaritaRowe
Community Member

Does anyone else get numbess from GAD? In their toes perhaps, or hands?

I do sometimes, and I have in my toes right now. I'm half telling myself it's just GAD, or it's gangrene or cancer and I'll never walk again

it just spooks me out

and I'm alone

so that makes it harder

sorry if someone else has posted this

I'm just in a panic and need to get this out quickly

Hi MargaritaRowe,

Welcome to the forum! No need to apologise - talking about your concerns is helpful 🙂

I don't personally get this symptom from anxiety, but physical symptoms such as numbness can be a symptom of GAD.

Here is the link to the Beyondblue fact sheet on GAD: http://resources.beyondblue.org.au/prism/file?token=BL/0505

Going to your doctor (GP) about your anxiety symptoms is a good idea.

Let us know how you go with seeking help 🙂

Best wishes,

Zeal

I've read everything there is to read

lots of GAD pages have different symptoms and explain it differently. Hopefully someone relates soon before I diagnose this anxiety as lupus. Lol

I've been to doctors

No one knows what they're talking about. I'm either prescribed drugs or told to exercise and eat healthy. Which I do. How many times do I have to say I don't want to be on any drugs? Strange world. 🙂

Nothing is helping

I give up. I'm too stuck. This is the way I'm supposed to be I suppose
