Nothing is worth enjoying

I'm a young Aussie, I am still in high school. I constantly get bullied and treated like crap when I try to be as nice and helpful as I can, no matter what I do I'm the laughing stock of all my "friends" and peers, I try to correct my mistakes but it only seems to get my more bullied, I always have thoughts of people coming up with jokes about me and backstabbing me. I simply just don't enjoy anything anymore, everything I do I have to make sure I don't say the wrong thing or make myself look foolish. When I try my hardest to do something and fail, I just get laughed at, so I've just simply stoped trying with everything

Hi Jimmy,

A big welcome to the forums. Here you'll find kindness, acceptance, understanding, non-judgement and advice, wherever possible, from other posters who may have had similar experiences to yours.

High school can be very easy for some and incredibly difficult for others. I found high school difficult. I enjoyed learning and studying, but I didn't enjoy socialising very much. Everyone is different.

I wasn't bullied, but I saw many others suffer at the hands of bullies and it made their lives hell. As a first step, does your school have a counsellor who you can talk to confidentially about your issues? School counsellors can be very helpful in advising you on how you can deal with the bullying and provide strategies to cope.

Many people in your age group experience bullying and it can have negative, long-term effects unless it's addressed.

So continue to post here, whenever you need to, and I'm quite sure many of us will be able to give you very useful advice to help you feel better and overcome the negative effects of bullying.

Take care, Ladyhawke.

Hi Jimmy

School and the pressures that go with it are tough even as it is.

Being bullied is just not on as Ladyhawke mentioned

You have a lot of courage to post on here and good on you. I hope you can use the same courage and see your school's well being counselor/school counselor as soon as you can

Your visit will be in confidence to ensure your privacy too

Please let us know how you go Jimmy and great stuff by posting!

My Best

Paul
