Hi Leo-child

Thankyou for posting. With anxiety its really good you have art and music as passions because you can immerse yourself into that and shut off the world. My wife and I have two miniature fox terriers and they are our world at home, so affectionate and playful. In fact the pup plays hide and seek and I've never seen that ever!.

How long have you known about your ADHD and anxiety? Whats the hardest part of having those illnesses?. Do you find other family and friends find it hard to relate to you?  I know I find that this forum is best to write into if I'm not feeling 100% rather than try to talk to family or friends because I have illnesses that aren't visible. When I broke my leg and was in a wheelchair they were helping me all the time but when I tell them I'm depressed they dont know what to do. It's not like they can reached into my brain and pat it like their pet rabbit lol.

So, if you need advice or support you can post here 24/7/365, anytime! even xmas day. Then all you have to do is wait for a community champion like me or a member that can offer ideas and support.

Again thankyou for reaching out. And remember- the majority of people with ADHD, anxiety, depression etc have a positive side which can include- creativity, out of the box mentality, painting, adventure, music, building and so on. In fact I have some ADHD bits and pieces and bipolar and I've made a number of inventions and have built my own house and am now building my own motorcycle, a trike. So you are lucky as well, and all these abilities make you quite special.

Reply anytime

um yeah i made this last year haha im in year 8 now and im 13  i still like cats  and i love music and art and english  and  learning japanese and  yeah   i have maybe 127 books  and yeah 🙂

Hey Leo-child,

That's great that you have so many hobbies/passions, they'll keep you happy throughout good and difficult times.

127 books is a lot, have you read them all? What are you reading at the moment?

SB

i have read most of them  but i have just finished percy jackson  the first book  as i had to read it for school

Well that confirms again that people with mental health issues usually have a creative side and you can embrace that within you. It's sad seeing friends that dont have a mental illness that also seem boring in comparison.

I've invented many things in my life that were either invented earlier in time that I didnt know about or invented later on after I thought of it.

So while you and your loved ones need some patience with this ADHD, it makes you very original and special. I see it as a positive although my bad days I dont feel that way. I say to myself "tomorrow is a new day and I'll feel better" and I always do.

I'm proud that you have written in to talk to like minded people.

Here is a poem for you-

CHOOKA CHOOK
Chooka Chook had an angry look as she washed the dishes dry
Her friend, Pecky the hen, was taken away to be fried
Then Rooty Rooster came to pass and saw Chooka sad
He said “don’t be sad, be glad…you haven’t been plucked or cooked till your skin is black….unlike Daffy Duck who got cooked till he couldn’t quack

Chooka Chook no longer sooked she did her dishes fast,
She never cried while she had her hide…she lived each day as her last…

Now thats a positive poem!!

Hey Sienna, I am 12 and autistic. I also love music and art and I have two budgies. Just curious, have you ever heard of Eurovision? It's amazing

i have hear of eurovision   i havent watched it but i do want to

You should, it really helps calm me down (As does all music) when I'm on the verge of a meltdown. I would suggest watching the 2016 competition hosted by Mans Zelmerlow and Petra Mede.

I think ABBA won Eurovision back in the 70's. Showing my age lol
