Lost and confused

I have been feeling rather upset and lonely lately. I've tried talking to mates but I hate opening up I like this guy and he is super sweet but I feel like running in the opposite direction. Because everyone that is nice to me leaves, so maybe if I push him away he can't hurt me. I don't know what to do anymore.

Welcome to the forums and good on you for posting too!

It really hurts when we are feeling this dark....as in lonely and upset. You are not alone when it comes to not like opening up to our mates....I understand that as I have pushed away a couple of GF's so I dont get hurt too.

Running in the opposite direction is like many of us feel....I still feel the same and its a pain Zonk...I hear you

Have you ever thought that he may be just as scared as you are where making contact is concerned? He may not be scared but he could be......

Do you even have one friend that you can talk to? (its okay...I have about 2)

You will have responses and help that you need as we have great young people like yourself that can be here for you 🙂

A true friend will listen...as long as you talk to her/him. (when you are comfortable doing so of course)

If not, there are a lot of really caring young people that can be here for you. It may just be using computers but they young people here also have issues similar to yourself....that I do know 🙂

They will make you feel welcome...and I am usually on here every couple of days too

You are not alone here Zonk......If we didnt have new posters....I wouldnt have my job as a volunteer here 🙂

So thanks heaps for posting and I will have a look to see how your thread is going later today...I will be very surprised if you dont get some replies from the young peoples community!

hello Zonk, I'm pleased Paul has replied to you, and it is undoubtedly scary talking to someone you really want to, but you shouldn't think that this guy is automatically going to leave you, if there is a connection and that's how you feel, then you won't know.
You can tell if he keeps looking at you, then you know, and if you don't then you will be upset if you see him with someone else, that will hurt, go on, and start doing it slowly. Geoff.
