hi all
im a nearly 20 year old male. recently im coming out of some hard times and looking too connect with some people. i think its really important for me to try an be social, as for a long time i havent been. ive had too many fake people and snakes in my life and really want to have real connections with people, when i was in a hazy mind state i didnt identify these problems at all. now im left with no one, times change people change. im very independent guy, i like to think of myself as a down to earth that dosent bother with drama and just tells it howit is. what im lacking is connecting with others and healthy relationships. my social skills are not fantastic im a bit awkward at times but i need to start somewhere.
thankyou

hey rino,
i think it's cool that you are an independent guy. we need more people out there not afraid to say things how they are, without a lot of the drama. i heard a great saying that people like that are really good at shining light on a situation, rather than just heat (like most media nowdays).
if i were you mate i would go and try out some new environments. i went through a bit of a 'haze' as you say, but i started a new job and got involved in a footy club. it really changed my social life. are you interested in anything like sport or music?

dear Rino, hi and thanks for posting and welcome to the site.
When someone goes through hard times or suddenly becomes depressed, our life changes, the friends that we once knew disappear, people who we could trust are not there any more or people just don't believe that we are struggling, so we are left on our own.
Unfortunately this site won't allow any personal details to be given out, so in other words, we can't get together, but that doesn't mean that we can't still be friends and people who you can trust to be there for you, so if you want to build up your own confidence, then this site is a great way to begin.
You have been having some hard times which has brought you to this stage, and having no one to talk to only increases the pressures of this illness, so I hope that you can get back to us. Geoff.
