Dear New Member~

Welcome to the forum and a belated birthday greeting for last week, I'm sorry nobody contacted you. However it is good to see you here.

Your position is one a lot of people have faced. One does form deep friendships with others as high-school and that will of course be a very large part of your life. As you would expect when high-school ends your friends will start new parts of their lives, some working, some studying, and some doing other things - they may even move away.

It is a sad but natural fact as their lives change the friendships they held will become less active, in short they will drift apart. Not from no longer liking you or enjoying your company, but because they are no longer with you day to day.

While still valuing those friendships they will not be enough for your life now. May I suggest you lead as active a social life as you can and be open to new ones. Simply look for peple you like and see if they and you get to be comfortable together. Not in a romantic way, just enjoying some of the same things.

There are many avenues to explore, if you are working then maybe in colleagues, if not then some clubs or associations, depending on your own prefernces. If that doesn't appeal then consider voluntary work, often a rich source of new friendly faces. They are also often a way to new experiences from acting Hamlet to being a dog trainer. It can be surprising.

One other tihng to consider, and that is going out of your way to do at least one thing each day you personally enjoy, be it sporting, reading, listening, laughing at a favorite comedian, or maybe going for a walk in nature or ...... you know you and what you might like.

You know you will always be welcome here if you wish and we will like to know how you get on
