I'm in really, really serious trouble with my mental state. I need to talk to someone but I get super anxious whenever I even think about bringing it up. I tried to get up an online chat but I quit half way through the form from simple fear. I don't know what to do. I need help, please

Don't worry you wont be locked up or something that easy. I was afraid of that. but that wont happen. Chat people are very helpful and can help to get things of your chest.xx

Hello Roverfan, I know it's not nice to open up to someone and ye it can be very scary.

What I would be doing is writing down on some paper what you are struggling with, then when you see your doctor hand over it over to them to read.

If you can photocopy what you've noted down so you don't have to do the same thing every time you see someone, by this I mean, if your GP refers you onto a psychologist or perhaps you may want to talk to people from Reachout and/or Headspace.

You can always add to the list you've created.

Hope this helps you.

Geoff.

Hey RoversFan,

Some great advice and support already provided.
I just wanted to suggest, if you really find it too hard to tell people what is troubling you so much, perhaps you could look through these forums and see if anyone else has described similar problems to you, and look at some of the advice people have provided them? Even if you search in google a 1 or 2 word phrase relevant to the way you're feeling, followed by the term "BeyondBlue Forum", you might find some relevant threads that already exist that can help.

Please reach out again RoversFan, there are so many people on here that want to help!
