I just wanna get this off my chest

I'm 21 turning 22 in January and I'm still living with my parents and I hate it I have no job still on my learner permit (got it when I was nearly 18) I have no job and I have never had one and I can't get any from centrelink due to a part my parents have to do and they refuse to do it even though I want it since I want to help my parents with bills. I live in the middle of nowhere an hour away from any big towns on a farm where I had no choice but to move to. I have bipolar depression and severe anxiety and I'm not getting any better and with my parents fighting all the time I don't know how I will get any better I am tired all the time and hungry my sleep patterns shift constantly and I have no ambition or goals for my life so everyday is a blur to me and I hate it but I can't fix it but I tell myself I want to fix it but have no reason/motivation to fix it I feel like I am wasting my life away everyday. Sorry for my ramblings but i needed to tell someone since I don't know how to cope with it on my own

I am so sorry you're feeling this way and that you're in this position- it seems like you feel 'stuck'. I find it can be really hard to pull ourselves out of this feeling, especially if we don't have the means to be fully independent. It seems like it's hard for you to find a routine, maybe that would be a good place to start? Trying to be consistent with one thing at a time works for me when I'm finding it hard to be motivated or stick to a schedule, however I know this would be made extra difficult by your experiences with bipolar depression and anxiety. For me personally, I start by just going for a walk one day, the next day I bake a cake or something. I like baking because you can see (and eat, yum!) the rewards of what you've done that day. Don't downplay the little wins like this, it's impossible to go from feeling aimless to being on top of it all overnight, the process can be hard but if you're doing one small thing at a time, then you're getting somewhere! Are there any tv shows, activities or hobbies you enjoy? Could you get involved with an online community which also enjoys these things? Because of covid, I've had to take my hobbies online, and I've found heaps of people doing the same thing. Just because you live far away from where things happen doesn't mean you have to miss out completely, and getting passionate about something like that might help you feel more motivated in general!

I'm sorry to hear you are going through a tough time where you feel trapped but also unmotivated to assess the situation and move forward. Finding the courage and stamina to change our life circumstances can be so hard because it's overwhelming emotionally, there are many pieces to the puzzle, and we have to think about the reaction of our loved ones.

Have you managed to take any steps so far? I know that reaching out here is a great start to articulate how you feel and get some advice so that's good. For example, have you tried explaining how you feel to your parents or anyone that supports you and maybe seeking out their assistance? The other thing that might be more foundational but also just as important is to ensure you are eating well, drinking water and trying to fix your sleep, so you can face the days head-on by giving your body and mind the best chance.
