i should probably introduce myself, my names cali i have did (dis-associative personality disorder), depression, severe ptsd from a near fatal assault
and more. luck y me, huh? i live in the ghetto and in a area where gangs are everywhere and am constantly yelled at. and of course being puerto rican means i get called racist things less now.
anyway i have a normal teenage girl problem at the moment i have a problem with eating. see the thing is even when i'm not hungry i can't stop myself from eating and it's physically making me sick.
but i do realise this isn't a real problem not like eating disorders like anorexia or stuff like that.
i'm sorry for wasting your time. just sometimes it's nice to get things off your chest without people screaming at you. trust me i'm not looking for pity just a place to acknowledged

Hi Juice5647,
You're not wasting our time! We are here to help each other.
It sounds like you have had a pretty rough trot.
I don't know a great deal about eating disorders, I do however have a bit of a binge eating problem though. I sometimes avoid solid and sugary foods for a day and drink thin soups and milk. I don't know why it works, but think it may have something to do with my blood sugar levels. I just don't crave food as much after a short break.
Have you looked into "thebutterflyfoundation.org.au" they may have some advice there? I read that CBT is also helpful.

Hey Cali / Juice5647,
Thanks for your post and for sharing whats going on with you.
Totally agree with Matches here - you're totally welcome here. We don't have a scale of how bad things have to be before joining us! If it's something you're struggling with, you're free to join us. Sometimes people aren't even having a bad time and they just like to chat and have someone to talk to. So hopefully this eases your concern a little bit.
If you want to talk about eating that's totally cool too. Sometimes problems with eating can actually lead into more serious eating disorders, so it's good that you're wanting to talk about it. Finding ways to cope with your eating can help prevent it from becoming more serious and more damaging.
Why do you think that this might be happening? While there can be lots of medical reasons (like hormone imbalances/deficencies), one of the most common reasons is because eating can be a way to cope. One of the ways to identify that is to have a think about what makes you want to eat, and what makes you ignore those fullness signals.
Hope this helps a little bit 🙂
