Hello Ralfaman
So pleased you've been able to reach out here to our community Ralfaman. Welcome to Beyond Blue forums.
It's so hard isn't it when you don't know what to say. Fear is so debilitating. I get anxiety all the time but I've learnt how to manage it so I can function okay. The hardest part for me was not knowing where the fear came from. It took be years to work out.
One of the best things I found for myself was to find a good doctor and a good counsellor who I could talk to. They helped me to talk, to understand and to see some of the things that were causing me fear.
Do you have anyone you can talk to? For example a close family member or trusted friend? Talking helps a lot. There are a lot of support services available, e.g.
- KidsHelpline 1800 551 800
- eHeadspace 1800 650 890
If you want to - you can keep reaching out here. No pressure for you to do so though. Just want you to know you're not alone.
Kind regards
PamelaR

Hello Ralfaman, and welcome to the forum.
I'm sure your first comment must have taken a while for you to post, editing it and then deleting it countless times, but now you're on and good on you for doing so.
I'm so pleased
What your friend said could have been done more politely, because how we are trapped in our own thoughts, where we can't find an answer to get ourselves out of the jungle is a simple explanation of mental illness.
Some people don't want to think, while others over think, then confusion begins, decisions are made that could be way off target or we do things which end up being a mistake and could make our situation worse.
None of this is your fault, but by talking with those who understand will eventually clear your mind, so I hope we can hear back from you.
Geoff.
