How to cure my anxiety

Hi my name is Ruby and I'm a 15-year-old high school student and I have social anxiety. My high school life is really good at the moment, I like my teachers, my friends and everything's fine but it just bugs me so much when I have to do a presentation, participate in sport, play drama games or just participate in class because i do not have the confidence whatsoever. I feel so helpless as everyone else seems to be so confident in themselves all the time and i don't. It's really affecting my life and my behaviour and it makes me feel as if my anxiety is slowly eating me alive day by day. I've had anxiety a couple of years now and all this time
I would really appreciate any advice given on my issue.

Hi Ruby
Just came across your post now, and let me tell you you are not alone!! I'm 27 now but when I was 15, I would go through exactly the same feelings and emotions as you are now. I'm sorry to hear you are feeling this way. Your teenage years should be a time of fun and not having to worry about anything. Is there anyone you can talk to? Your parents? A teacher that you can trust? I'm not sure how your school works, but if they have a school counsellor, that would be very handy for you to have a chat with them? They keep everything confidential and you can trust in them and tell them everything you feel. Maybe that way, you could perhaps get a note from them to your teachers - and when it's time for you to do presentations etc, they could exempt you from doing the presentation and you could be marked a different way on the work you've done?
I really hope you feel better soon.. I just want you to know that you are not alone and that there is always a solution to every problem that we face. At my age, I deal with anxiety and I have fears and I shake and tremble and sweat. I run away from any situation that scares me and I've been thinking of training to be a police officer so how funny is that !!!
