Hi there.

I'm so stressed out abt my test results.

53% in my FIRST test of English.

The teacher didn't even bother to teach us properly but I cant blame her.

People fool around and I can't do my work .

This isn't like me.

My grades in other subjects are amazing but THIS .

this is bad

I try so hard to do it but i can't dude.

My parents work so hard for this ?

I know this test was 8 percent but hearing about others results...

I am so STRESSED LIKE I SAID BEFORE.

I have more tests and assessments in this class, but idk man

Please don't tell me about how grades are nothing.

That won't help at all.

I just somehow want someone to relate and give tips .

Maybe abt studying ?

I have no phone or online status whatsoever.

Like this is a school one but yh.

Thanks smm for reading this .

luv yall xoxo ❤️❤️

Hi there,

Welcome to the forums, thank you for reaching out to us!

I hear you, you're feeling stressed about your English grade and want to do better. I see you mentioned hearing what other people got and I know it's easy to compare yourself to them, but remember, this is only one result and you can bump up your grades in future. Try to focus on yourself, everyone is different.

Did you get any feedback on your test from your teacher? Do you want to have a chat with your teacher to tell them that you are disappointed in your mark and want some advice to improve?

As for study suggestions, I'm not sure what year level you're in, but I will go ahead and recommend knowing the content well and asking questions when you get stuck. Perhaps you could study with a friend so you help each other out and work through the questions together. If it's a test, try to do a practice one before the real test to see what you need to improve on. If it's an essay, try to write some practice paragraphs and get some feedback from your teacher.

This is a small setback, be proud of yourself for doing well in your other subjects. Believe that you can improve in English and if you build these good study habits, I'm positive that you will! Good luck 😊

Kind regards,

Hey,

so I also sometimes struggle with things like that, especially when I have a bad teacher. I think what helps me is number one when I get my work back I get someone who got a good score (if I know them) and I see what’s different and what I can fix, two, I’ll search up the topic and find a video or website on the topic and if none of that helps I ask the teacher or just one of my friends or my parents. (Once I even got an old teacher go over my work because I felt that the teacher that graded my work had done it wrong or had something against me and I didn’t want to talk to them.)
