Hello I have decided to post here because I really dont have anyone else to talk to in Australia. Ever since high school Alot if not most of my friends have moved onto uni in another city and haven't bothered to talk to me since. Im in the same town doing a second year apprenticeship in plumbing with a very abusive boss. My boss Im pretty sure is a drug addict and will come to work to just abuse me 90% of the time. Yesterday I accidental cross threaded a brass nut and he went on a thirty minute rant about how im useless and he wishes he picked another apprentice to work with him because "he would rather of hired a dog to keep him company than me". Yes he actually said that. I really don't know what else to do Im just not seeing the point in anything. Life is really boring to me and Im too socially awkward to make new friends outside of the people I already work with. There just really isn't any point to any of this.

hello as much as your apprenticeship isn't working out with your boss, I still want to congratulate you for making this choice, so let's put your boss to one side for just a moment, I honestly believe that you have made an excellent decision by wanting to become a plumber.
Everyday it could be a different job, different scenery and meeting new people all the time, plus you'll earn a very good income.
Now with your boss and if you're sure he is on drugs then I would be trying to get a transfer over to another plumber, and if this means that you have to take a step backwards in terms of grades, don't take this as being bad, because you will quickly catch up once again.
Please don't let this current boss destroy any idea of wanting to become a plumber, especially if his mind isn't fully clear, confused by drugs will change a person.
Go on and find another one who wants an apprentice, I'm sure there are heaps of plumbers, maybe one who has a large firm, but don't give up just because your boss isn't nice to you.
