I get worried all the time that there's something that I've missed or I'm just scared of getting terminal illness.. I hate feeling like this it's only gotten worse since I've become truly happy 😞

Hi DD,

Time, is you answer. Lots of time being happy will build your confidence to the point whereby your loose thoughts will be seen as not real.

Hi Dazzling diamond,

Thanks for reaching out to BB.

Have you ever heard of thought challenging?  It's a technique (also called CBT or Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) and the basic concept is challenging thoughts.  So you said that you felt like you missed out on something; what did you feel like you missed out on?  Why does that bother you?

Or you mentioned that you thought you would have a terminal illness; what makes you feel that you will and someone else won't?  Where is the evidence behind that?

Lots of psychologists, counsellors and Doctors are aware of this; you can find them by going to the Get Support link on the website.

Don't be alarmed; what you are feeling and thinking is normal but challenging these thoughts will help you to be happier again.  Also - spending time investing in things that make you happy (like white knight said) will also help to take your mind away from things that cause you to have these thoughts.

good luck 🙂
