Hey everyone,
I finally acknowledged that I need to deal with these issues from my childhood and I have begun getting a psychologist's help and taking an active role in this process.
I'm wondering if there's anyone on here who is going through the same thing? It would be nice to have some social support where, not even having to talk about the issues, just someone who understands what each other are going through.
Please flick me a message 🙂

Hi Sabbe,
Welcome to the BeyondBlue forums. While I don’t have the same experience, I know how hard it can be reaching out for help with something your would rather leave behind and I just wanted to say that I can appreciate the strength it must have taken to ask for help.
I hope you know that if you ever need to talk you will always find someone who cares on these forums.

Hi Sabbe
I have an idea how you are feeling as it happened to me as well. It is good that you have a psychologist that you are talking to. I have PTSD from my abuse and the anxiety is unbearable at times. Have you spoken to your family? My family didn't want to know about it so it became very difficult to cope with.
Please keep writing on here cause there is alot of support and advice from people who have had similar experiences.
