I'm going away next monday, i just got told today and i'm kinda scared that i will go into a downwards spiral as i will be 4 hours from home by car and my dogs, mum wants me to get away for a bit just to help a little but with that i will be missing my tuesday appointment with headspace which makes me a bit anxious but i guess i have to get over it, anyone got any ideas on how to get through the week of being away?

dear BBR, are you able to go after your headspace appointment.
I realise that you are going to miss your dogs, our life savers of depression, and are they going to fret when you don't there, or your mum maybe attached to them as well.
You have to take it day by day, and try and make a list of what you want to see or where to go, such as parks, museums, any day trips that are available, places to eat, because if stay at the place where you are sleeping and not do anything then your mind will start to wonder, which is probably one reason why you are going away.
If you miss your dogs too much then you can always cut your holiday a day or two short.
Are you going with someone else. Geoff.
