Hi,

Money cant buy happiness but lack of money can make life a real struggle and contribute towards depression.

There's some unwritten rules with money-

  • Always strive to have more money coming in than what's going out
  • Lack of money usually means either you need to earn more money or spend less.
  • It's normal to want and need more money
  • Make saving a ritual
  • Think outside the box with ways to earn money
  • Dont take "no" for an answer.

When unemployed in 1992 I walked my then town of 1100 people and knocked on every door asking if they wanted a lawn mowing service. Not one home owner wanted one. I went home and my wife said "thats the end of that idea then". I refused, I then walked past every house again and put a flyer in every letterbox. At the end of the day, exhausted, my wife told me she had 6 calls and the next day 6 more. In fact it was a country town and in 3 months I had to purchase a new ride on lawn mower to keep up.

I'm a lot older now. In the town I now live in there's a teenage boy that walks the whole town pulling a petrol lawn mower to mow lawns. He told me he is busy but also may owners give him extra tips.

So I hope I've helped.
