I am sorry to hear about the troubles you're experiencing, that sounds like it would be pretty upsetting and scary, particularly not knowing why these "black-outs" are occurring.
There's a chance they could be hallucinations, which are a symptom of a range of different mental illnesses, however it is too broad to know for sure, as we have not taken into account your health, environmental and social factors as well, which all contribute.
My best advice for you would be to see your GP to get a professional diagnosis and a referral to a psychologist.
You need to seek some professional help as it is beginning to affect not only other aspects of your life, such as the driving, but it can potentially cause harm to others, like the cars around you on the road, and we can't take any chances with your safety.

When I first read that sometimes you get stuck inside your own head, I thought, I can relate to that big time, but as I read further on it was not at all what I expected you to say.
Honestly reading about the car, my initial thought was Narcolepsy, but again as I read on, my thoughts changed.
The situation on your bed, That sounds like an 'Astral Projection' experience, or, perhaps it was a brief dream or even just an image in your mind that you were disconnected from. If it WAS a dream like experience, I would put a symbolism on it, the 'demon' you saw, is your inner demons, or issues, tearing you up.
As for in the car, it sounds like you were stuck inside your head then, I can relate to that situation as often when im driving, especially down a highway or something, I zone out into thought, but when I come back I cant really remember what I was thinking about or what it was I was thinking.
Weirdly this is a bit of a healing process for me, personally I seem to process things well while driving. However your situation sounds a bit more dramatic, I have to ask how often has this situation occurred?
Crystal is also right, you could be suffering from some sort of hallucination, don't let yourself feel this means your like some totally messed up person or something its more common than you would think.
A big thing to look at. Are you on any medications or recreational drugs? I have known at least one person to suffer hallucinations from the basest of recreational's, marijuana. But mental illnesses can cause this too as Crystal said. And being mentally ill does not mean your some psycho or something either, the majority of the population suffers from some form of mental illness or varying severities. Your obviously still functional so I would not put you into a severe risk illness category, however situations such as driving do pose a severe physical threat to you at the moment.
Crystal is right, you need to seek some sort of help from someone and the best place to start is always a GP.
Perhaps try to keep a log or 'diary' of the situations you are experiencing as often it is hard to recall everything on the spot when you are struggling with something..
Hey... Just going to throw this in.. Don't be ashamed or stressed about breaking down or crying, many people don't realise this is a natural occurrence and feel weak letting things out, its a natural healing process, let it be if it needs to be and don't hold back!

Welcome to the forums thanks for taking the time to log in and post 🙂 It sounds like you are having a bit of a hard time with your experiences. I have had friends with similar experiences and sometimes it helps them to think of them as extreme or visual/auditory experiences rather than hallucinations as that had some negative connotations for them. It happens to other people as well, though people don't always talk about it so it can seem like a pretty lonely experience to have. It can be really important to talk up though, and like Crystal said get some advice, whether this be from a GP or a counsellor or psychologist. This is especially important as it sounds like it is interfering with your day to day living, which I can imagine would be difficult. But they might be able to help you work out why you are having them, and perhaps if you have an open minded professional, even the meaning behind them as well. There are a few movements dedicated to people who have these experiences, and its aimed at autonomy for the person and working with your experiences to get well and stay well rather than working against them. Voices Vic or the Hearing Voices Approach is a good place to start they have lots of information about these sorts of experiences and peer support groups etc. Feel free to post again or reply though if things aren't getting any better for you.
