I've suffered with anxiety for as long as I can remember and when it comes to to guys my anxiety is SEVERE. I can't talk to the opposite sex without feeling overwhelmed and anxious. I get awkward just in case I might say something wrong and in which most cases I'll start stuttering and go bright red. Even if I don't have a connection with a guy I still can't talk. I really don't know why I'm like this and I hate it. It has held me back from potentional friendships and relationships.

Hi Aak,

i notice you have 2 threads going and posted on you other one. Per haps you could add what you've posted here to you other thread (it will answer some question I asked) and then continue on one thread. This way everything will be in one place and it will make iteasier for people to respond to you as your story will be all together.

Hey Aak, totally normal to have anxiety about talking to people of the opposite sex. Sometimes having a handful of topics ready can help, i.e. simple questions like how are you/what do you do for work/what do you study etc! Or getting to know someone in a group situation helps as well, if you have a group of friends you can go out with. How old are you? I think even online dating (be super safe about it though) can work for someone who prefers to get the small talk out of the way, and the first time you meet someone you can even confide that you don't date often and feel nervous etc. You're honestly not alone, it's really normal to feel flustered and to blush. Let me know how everything goes.
